The Philippines now seems to be the world’s exporter of singing talents.

We could write down an endless list that would include the likes of Lea Salonga, Charice, Apl. de. Ap, and Arnel Pineda—to name a few—and then there is Rose Fostanes, the first-ever X Factor Israel grand winner.

What the 47-year-old did has further proved to the world that Filipino talents are indeed world-class.

Her triumph, as well as the international achievements made by the artists before her, has inspired men's accessory brand McJim Classic Leather to help young Pinoy talents achieve their dreams.

The brand launched its talent search, dubbed Dreams Get Real, which is open to college students, aged 15 to 25 years old, from any college or university.

The only requirement is that they must have exceptional singing talent and star quality.

On March 2, Dreams Get Real held its first weekly elimination round at the SM Center in Las Piñas City.

The event was highlighted by the performances of Internet discoveries Kimpoy Feliciano and the singing boy group 1:43, which is composed of Anjo Resurreccion, Gold Aquino, Yuki Sakamoto and its new recruit Argee Golding who replaced original member Kent Malunda.

The group debuted on YouTube with their first digital single “Merry Christmas Na” on November 27, 2010. But it was their single “Sa Isang Sulyap Mo” that made them viral on the Internet.

As for Kimpoy, this New Zealand-based social media sensation started making his own videos and posting his own feelings on the net.

Then, without him knowing, he attracted hundreds of thousands of followers.

In fact, his online fame made him the Peace Ambassador for Social Media for the “I am for Peace” campaign of President Benigno Aquino, Jr. in 2012.

Now, the Bulacan-born Kimpoy is a certified recording artist, with the single “Ikaw Lang” being his most popular song to date.

The inspiring success stories of Rose Fostanes, 1:43, and Kimpoy Feliciano will surely convince young talents that they too can become the next brightest stars of the music industry by joining the competition.

Meanwhile, the next elimination rounds will be held in various SM Supermalls in Metro Manila, as well as in Southern and Central Luzon.

Cash prizes and a recording-management contract await the grand winner during its grand finals on June 15, 2014.
