Summer, no doubt, is here!

And turning the "hot" meter even higher are three goddesses in Philippine showbiz.

This April, on Women's Health, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera captivates with her "ripped core" and 23-inch waistline.

On Cosmopolitan, "Dyosa-turned-Dyesebel" Anne Curtis stuns with her six-pack abs.

On Men's Health, Maja Salvador's bikini-worthy body earns a thumbs up from the editor-in-chief of the men's magazine's U.S. version, Bill Phillips.

Dying to know what they did to achieve their beach bodies?

ANNE CURTIS DIET

Anne believes in moderation as far as her diet is concerned. She admits, however, to having "cheat days." She said in an interview, "Hindi rin kasi ako naniniwala na yung totally, you deprive yourself. So if you are craving for sweets, you give in once in a while, but then, the portion, wag naman buong chocolate or isang tub ng ice cream, di ba."

Discipline and focus also play crucial for the VIVA talent.

No matter how busy she is, Anne makes time for her Plyometrics and Insanity workouts every day to tone her abs.

Plyometrics, according to webmd.com, is also known as the "jump training" designed to increase muscular power and explosiveness, while Insanity, according to teambeachbody.com, uses a method called Max Interval Training, which is a combination of "cardio and plyometric drills with intervals of strength, power, resistance, and core training."

SPORTS IS MARIAN'S SECRET

She eats "three square meals, merienda, and a midnight snack," says Women's Health.

But because she takes her work seriously, she makes sure she's ready for all the scenes, including the physically-demanding ones.

From swimming in Dyesebel to learning Wushu in Darna and Arnis in Amaya, her abs, Marian reveals, is six years in the making.

“Sa haba ng panahon na wino-workout ko [ang abs ko], nandoon at nandoon na.”

At present, she is into Zumba.

DANCE LIKE MAJA

ABS-CBN's Dance Princess has always been thin.

But in preparation for her pictorial with Men's health, "Isang buwan nga akong di kumain at todo workout talaga."

She adds, “Kailangan mong ma-convice ang mga readers na you’re fit and healthy [para maisip nila na], ‘Ah, si Maja aware din pala sa body niya.”

And while posing for the camera, Men's Health mentions she had one request: blaring music in the background so she could dance.

Also featured in the issue are experts’ tips to getting a well-proportioned body (like Maja’s!) through a balanced diet.

A sampler: go for half rice, fish oil or eat Mediterranean.
