Kristine Hermosa blissful about second pregnancy; advises safe exercises for preggy women

Kristine Hermosa says exercise is good for pregnant women as it will prepare them for an easier childbirth and make it easier for them to get back in shape after giving birth.


Kristine Hermosa is a picture of bliss on her second pregnancy.

She avers, “I’m actually enjoying my life now, really enjoying it. I’m happy with my kids.”

She and husband Oyo Boy Sotto already have two children. Kristian Daniel is in kindergarden and Ondrea Bliss will start school next year.

“Iba yung may family, iba rin yung joy,” she affirms further.

SPORTY. Kristine is one of those lucky women whose pregnancy is not a deterrent to an active lifestyle.

She continues with her fitness regimen and, in fact, advises exercise to pregnant women.

According to her, safe exercise during pregnancy helps prepare a woman’s body for child birth. It also makes it easier for women to get back in shape after giving birth.

Kristine is into mountain biking and her enthusiasm for the sport is such that she and Oyo even organize biking events.

She has slowed down a bit, however, because of her pregnancy.

She says, “What I do now, nagba-bike pa rin ako, pero road-road lang, a little bit of trail pero not as extreme.

"Before kasi mga downhill talaga, binababa namin.

"Nae-enjoy ko yung adrenaline.

"Pero ngayon, double ingat, mga simple trails lang inaakyat ko.

“If your body is used to mga exercises na extreme, kasi depende kung ano ung kinasanayan ng body mo, you can also do that.

"Pero ingat lang."

To be safe than sorry, Kristine suggests asking your doctor what exercises you can do during your pregnancy.

SHOWBIZ. Although Kristine misses acting and is amenable to going back to showbiz, she is clear about her priority. Her family comes first.

She relates, “Wala naman problema if may magandang offer.

"Kaso 'di ko pwedeng i-sacrifice yung time ko with my family.

"Masaya ako dito, e."

But she admits she was also happy when she was active in showbiz.

She recalls, "Nakaka-miss pasiyahin yung mga tao.

"Nakaka-miss kapag nalalaman ko na nagugustuhan yung palabas, yung ginagawa ko for them.

"'Tapos nagiging successful yung show.

"And you get to meet other celebrities, nagiging close mo sila."



ACTION ROLES. If indeed she goes back to acting, Kristine hints she is willing to do physically demanding roles.

She perks up, “Mga action, mga adventure, sobrang 'yan talaga gusto ko ever since.

"Pero sa iba ako nilalagay.”

Kristine became known for her romantic dramas, most notably for her role as Ynamorata in ABS-CBN's Pangako Sa'Yo.

“Nagho-host din ako. Action na lang. Action, yun na lang ang 'di ko pa nagagawa.

"For as long as okay yung schedule, okay yung story, okay yung lahat, no problem ako," she concludes.
