On its 17th year, Nestea Beach once again made waves in Boracay, Aklan, for the annual summer event that is sponsored by the beverage brand in the country.

As in previous events, this year's frolic culminated in dance music parties, a highly-anticipated beach volleyball competition, and a beach clean-up drive all weekend long, making it a memorable summer experience for those who were there.

Coinciding with Labor Day, the annual summer event ran from May 1 to 4 in the country’s summer getaway, Boracay, which has also been home to Nestea Beach for the past 17 years.

On the first day, May 1, Boracay saw the official opening of Nestea Beach Volleyball at the Boracay Beach Chalets, Station 2, and which continued until March 3.

A total of 24 teams, the best of the best from universities all over the country divided into male and female divisions, battled it out for the championship title.

By nightfall, a kick-off party was held at the Tides Roofdeck Pool & Solstice Sun Lounge, which marked the start of activities and parties in the following days.

On May 2, two notable activities took place on and off the shore.

Firstly, Nestea held its long running advocacy Love The Beach that morning, which was a clean-up drive along the shores of Boracay.

Together with the Boracay Foundation Inc., concerned beach lovers registered and participated in the activity, where in pairs the volunteers collected trash along the shores of the beach.

Secondly, a yacht party in the afternoon, where partygoers were treated to a breathtaking sunset cruise of the island.

Overflowing beverage and food, and dizzying music kept up the party mood.

But the high points of the Nestea Beach 2014 were the beach parties, back-to-back, that featured popular personalities in the international EDM (electro-dance music) scene: Cedric Gervais and Steve Aoki.

On May 3, Grammy-award winning DJ Cedric brought the house down and treated beachgoers to upbeat music until early morning at the Epic Bar, Station 2, in partnership with Republiq.

Last but definitely not the least, the crowd at the Epic Bar went wild and partied all night to the music of Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki, which also capped the long weekend summer beach event.

With the success of Nestea Beach this year, it has proven once again that the annual event is an occasion that beachgoers in Boracay look forward to in summer.
