There was a time when Jericho Rosales grew tired of playing the game. He had gone through several relationships, wanting to settle down.
He had wanted to get married at 21, but that didn’t happen.
He had felt the urge to tie the kknot again at 25, but that didn’t happen either.
When he hit his thirties, he finally gave up and decided to just let God’s plan unravel.
“Kasi pag naghahanap ka ng naghahanap parang ’yon ’yong time na nakaka-frustrate and you make wrong decisions,” the actor told YES! in an interview in April.
“Kasi you think this is what you need. You’re not letting God manage your journey.”
The eligible bachelor made a promise to himself not to search anymore.
“I didn’t want to hurt anyone just because I feel lonely,” he explained. “Pinanindigan ko talaga ’yon.”
Just as he was resigning himself to singlehood once again, the Legal Wife star met Filipino-British model Kim Jones.
“It was very clear to me na this is the person I would marry,” Echo said about Kim. “Kumbaga, ang dami naming tawanan nito. Parang ang saya ng magiging future namin nito pagtanda namin...”
On May 1, Labor Day, Echo fulfilled this promise, tying the knot with Kim in a garden wedding ceremony at Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa.
