Liv is the new upscale club formally opened on May 16 at the City Time Square in Mandaue City. Your Cebu experience will not be complete without dropping by the first and biggest luxury club in Cebu.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was one of the lucky guests invited at the superclub's grand opening.
The club flew in DJs from the capital including Mars Miranda and Jennifer Lee to perform at the grand opening. Completing the line-up that night were DJs Aiko and Arra Pascual. Laserman JB dela Cruz also gave an electrifying lights play performance.
Spotted partying were celebrities Epi Quizon, Cesar Montano, and Janelle Manahan. Former Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri also came to support the superclub’s opening.
LIGHTS AND SOUNDS. The superclub has a two-story high LED screen at the DJ booth. Beams of laser lights extend to every corner of the club. Liv’s sound system also delivers crisp, clear beats and ear-pounding bass. The club definitely is on a par with Manila’s top bars and lounges.
Kenneth Dong, one of the owners of the bar, explained: “Ang difference namin is we have a very big LED screen and mapapansin niyo yung light effect namin, may kumokontrol dun, e.
“May video DJ rin kami, so kailangan i-sync mo yung video sa music...
“So three DJs ang kailangan, the DJ, the VJ, and the lights controller — 'Yon ang difference namin.”
Sure enough, you will definitely be mesmerized by the lights and sounds play.
Expect a heavy crowd as midnight draws near. The bar could easily be filled up by locals and foreign partygoers.
Liv Superclub has a strict dress code which is strictly enforced. Shorts and slip-ons won't cut it.
The upscale club also offers a wide array of top beer and liquor brands.
DREAM COME TRUE. Kenneth Dong has long wanted to open his own luxury club and now it has finally happened.
How did he come up with the idea?
Dong said, "Medyo late bloomer ako... Mga five years ago, gusto kong magkaroon ng sariling club, kasi aside from my first company I also have my event company sa Manila, I do trade shows, exhibits sa Manila.
“So habang nag-expand yung business ko, dumadami yung business contacts ko, sa government sector, showbiz...
“So sakto lang siguro na this time, nagtayo ako ng sariling club, dun pwede mong gawin… the PR and at the same time, nagawa ko yung pangarap ko nung bata pa ako.”
While most of his businesses are in Manila, Kenneth said he decided to build his superclub in Cebu.
Kenneth also plans to open a branch in Boracay.
“Kasi pag nag-open ka sa Boracay hindi magiging problema yung customers, e.
“Ang dami ano, millions of tourists, di ba, per month pumapasok sa Boracay?
“So, next target ko really is Boracay.”
However, the businessman doesn’t plan on opening a luxury bar in Metro Manila anytime soon.
“Hindi pa. Kasi medyo mahirap ang kalaban, e. Saka this is our first club business so siguro, ito yung magiging pilot project namin.
“Kasi for us mga owners, we want to be hands-on."
