Allison Harvard reveals her health and beauty secrets


Allison Harvard is always up and running and that's how she stays slim: “I love being active, I love walking constantly... and just running some miles or something.”

Being beautiful asset may be in the genes, but such an asset can easily go to waste if one does not take care of this endowment.

America’s Next Top Model All Stars runner-up Allison Harvard is certifiably a beauty and she works hard at maintaining her fit body and her flawless beauty.

The 26-year-old international model has just signed up as the newest face of Bioessence on Saturday morning, July 9, at the Cerchio Restaurant in Quezon City.

In an interview with (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press, she shared her secrets on staying beautiful.

Allison admitted she’s not much of a gym buff but she maintains an active lifestyle through walking.

“I try to walk everywhere as much as possible because I’m not a huge fan of going to the gym.

“I kinda have to trick myself into working out but I love being active, I love walking constantly.


“And I try to go to the gym, you know, two or three times a week and just running some miles or something.”

Allison revealed she is a foodie, but she eats only healthy food. Although the model-host also admits she has her “cheat days.”

She related, “I pick my days right and eat everything and you’ll feel bad about it.

"It’s important to have those days where you can really enjoy yourself.

“But, you know, when you’re not doing that, grilled food works for me. I can eat a lot of it.

"I just want it, you know, just healthy.

“I’m trying to drink less soda, in general.

“I’m trying to drink more water and tea, and things like that.

“I really, really love tea, I love ginger tea so much.”

Allison, who hosts the Mega Fashion Crew Reloaded, said she doesn’t have time to go the a clinic or a spa but she follows a skin care regimen. Here are her skin care tips:


1. Protect your skin from the sun. Allison pointed out that the most important way of taking care of your skin is to protect it from the sun.

Excessive sun exposure can cause dry skin, wrinkles, age spots and in worst cases, skin cancer. Her advice: Use sunscreen, stay under a shade, and wear protective clothing.

Allison said, “Well, I’m never in the sun so it’s convenient."

2. Moisturize. “No matter where you are, it’s natural for your skin to dry out,” Allison stressed.

Apart from the sun, wind and cold weather may leave your skin dry and itchy. Invest in a quality moisturizer to prevent this such thing to happen and keep your skin smooth and silky.

3. Take your make up off at night. Allison made it clear that taking off your make up before you sleep is "so important."

Allow your skin to “breathe” and this will help prevent acne breakouts.
