Solenn says she prefers doing cardio over gym work and right now she does boxing to tone her body.

The sexy Solenn Heussaff shares simple tips and tricks to help you achieve the body you have always wanted.

While dieting and exercise will always be a part of the plan, Solenn admonishes making small changes in your lifestyle to make the whole process easier and even more effective.

ENJOY BEING YOURSELF. If you’re dieting to fit into the crop top all your friends are wearing even if it's not your style, then what’s the use?

Love your body, find your own style, and diet because it’s good for you, not to keep up with the ever-changing trends.

Even Solenn admits wearing only what makes her feel like “Solenn” and never because it’s “uso.”

“Yung fashion sense ko comfortable, elegant comfortable. Simple chic.

“Ita-try ko yung mga trends. Pero hindi ako yung type na sumusunod sa mga trends. Kung hindi bagay talaga sa akin, kahit trendy, hindi pa rin.

“So usually pag everyday wear, jeans lang talaga. Jeans, flat shoes, and loose t-shirts, yun ang go-to ko.”

CHEW. “Chew a lot. The more you chew the more na parang disintegrated na yung pagkain. Para pag dating sa tyan, wala na masyadong trabaho yung tyan mo.

“So chew slow. Tapos kasi pag nag-chew slow ka, mas magiging full ka ng mas faster,” Solenn explains.

In short, take your time, savor your food, keep chewing.

BALANCE YOUR DIET. Eat like a queen during lunch and like a peasant for dinner. And in the morning, eat like a king.

Plan your meals using an inverted triangle, Solenn advises, "Dapat balance yung lifestyle mo.

“In terms of dieting, halimbawa mabigat yung breakfast mo, dapat light lang yung lunch. Tapos halos wala sa dinner.”

It’s best to have a full course meal in morning. And if you can’t afford to have rice for lunch, just eat enough meat ( chicken, beef, pork, or fish) to get you through the day.

Eating light meals during dinner also helps you sleep better. You can get away with a small serving of macaroni salad, or a lot of leafy greens and fresh fruits at night.

NO TO SECONDS. Eat enough to keep you on your toes, not because you “think you still want more.”

Solenn emphasizes, “Portion is important. Wag kang mag second serving.

“And make sure na yung protein mo, like yung rice mo, parang kasya lang sa palm and not more than that.”

HYDRATE. Not only is water good for the body, drinking a glass or two before meals create a difference on your food intake for the day.

“Drink a lot of water before eating, pwede kang uminom ng mga two glasses of water para full ka na,” Solenn recommends.

EXERCISE! Exercise even if you’re in the office. Remember, if there’s a will, there’s a way.

Pay heed and follow Solenn's advice. “Dapat at least three times a week ka mag-exercise ng mga one hour.

Kahit may mga tao na sinasabi nila na wala kang time, parang excuse lang yan because you always have time.

“Kahit 15 minutes sa threadmill, or 15 minutes running na sprinting, laging may time.

“Kahit sa work ka, buhat ng bottles of water, or whatever, gawan lang ng paraan.”

GIRL BONDING. Girls' night outs shouldn’t just be all about pizzas and pastas. Plan your next bonding session with more physical activities, outdoor or indoor.

Solenn says going to the gym has become more fun since she started tagging her friends along with her.

“I like cardio more kasi nabo-bore ako sa gym. Pero ngayon nagy-gym ako. Tapos kasi marami akong kaibigang kasama kaya nagiging mas fun.

“Pag may kasama ka kasi mas na-mo-motivate ka mag-workout.”
