After a month of searching for the suabe sophisticated guy worthy of the “Gold Life,” model LA Aguinaldo won the title as the AXE Gold Man in a culminating program at the newly opened Universe Gastrolounge and Nightclub in Resorts World Manila, Pasay City last Thursday night, October 9.
LA won a year-long stay at a condo in Bonifacio Global City, a trip to Las Vegas with two of his best buddies, and a brand new Volkswagen Beetle.
Dubbed as “the suave traveller,” LA bested out two other finalist: “the sleek broker” Ari Salud and “the classy entrepreneur” Jaime Ramirez during the challenges held at Marco Polo Hotel in Pasig City.

The finalist underwent a styling challenge with celebrity stylist Sidney Yap for their first challenge. Then, Boys Night Out DJs—Sam YG, Toni Tony, and Slick Rick—lend them a hand in “Charm The Girl” challenge. For their last challenge, the finalists were tasked to create their own signature drink with KC Montero and mixologist Larry Guevarra.
LA expounded on why he deserved the gold pass, “I think I deserve the Axe Gold Pass kasi being the Axe Gold Man you don’t really have to try that hard to be the Axe Gold Man.
“I think I don’t have to search that hard or try that hard.
“It’s either you have it or you don’t and for me to get this far.
“And above everything, I do have the qualities of an Axe Gold Man.”
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), LA couldn’t hide his excitement for the culminating activity. The 23-year-old model also noted that all of them definitely gained more confidence since the competition started.
LA said, “The whole experience as a whole, it’s really been good.
“You know, each of us nag-iba.
“You can sense from the start of the competition up to now nag-iba yung aura namin.
“We’re more confident, we carry ourselves with more class, with more style, and everything with flare.
“Siguro Axe helped us, you know, immerse ourselves in the environment of being just be yourself.
“You know, show the real you and people will like you for who you are.
“I think yun talaga e, it boils down to just being confident with yourself.
“If you’re confident on the inside, it will show on the outside.”
As for the prizes, LA look forward to having the Volkswagen Beetle. He explained, “Lahat mabigat e, yung trip, yung condo for a year.
“Pero siguro yung car kasi it could lead to many things.
“I could use it to go to a trip somewhere, use it to go around the city, meet people, make connections and really live out the gold life through that car.”
What does he look forward to on his trip to Las Vegas?
LA answered, “Las Vegas, maraming amusement parks, maraming clubs.
“Maybe just the club life in general.
“I want to see how the world parties ‘cause Las Vegas is the world’s capital in terms of partying.
“So, I think that would be a great experience for me to just experience clubbing in Las Vegas.”
Ultimately, LA thanked all of his friends, family, and fans who supported him through out the whole competition. He said, “Hindi nagpahuli yung friends ko. My frsibee teammates, my high school classmates, they campaigned on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
“Their friend’s friends, yung lolo nila, everyone on Instagram for me so I’m just really happy.
“I have a bit of followers na on Instagram so I think that helped na rin.
“Pero at the end of the day, it’s your family whose gonna help you.
“And with Ari, and me, and Jaime, we have strong families so sila talaga yung ang-support sa amin.”
Jaime Ramirez won second place with a trip for two to Boracay.
Meanwhile, Ari Salud won the first place and got a trip for two to Hong Kong.
