It's 39 days to go before her wedding (a.k.a. #journeytoDday) to Dingdong Dantes on December 30.

It’s been such a hectic period for Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera since the epic second proposal that aired on the Kapuso primetime queen’s dance show Marian on August 9.

However busy they are, the two are very hands on in the preparations for their wedding.

Visiting 20 pairs of ninongs and ninangs that include Governor Vilma Santos Recto and Kris Aquino; inviting no less than the Philippine President Noynoy Aquino as a guest; attending five bridal showers; wedding gown fitting at world-renowned designer Michael Cinco’s atelier in Dubai; holding prenup shoot at the golden sands of Dubai, and all the pre-wedding activities you could imagine.

Let’s take a look at the pivotal moments in the DongYan wedding diary!

AUGUST 9. Dingdong's proposal to Marian on national TV

Let's do a quick flashback.

Dingdong first narrated the first proposal in Macau, where a thousand butterflies served as witnesses.

Then he segued, "...May kailangan akong aminin, meron akong kailangang sabihin sa iyo. Alam ko na no'ng nangyari yun, meron akong isang importanteng bagay na hindi nagawa.

"Marami akong bagay na hindi nasabi dahil sobrang, sobrang overwhelmed ako sa...hindi ko alam kung papa'no pero allow me to do it right this time."

And on his knees—this time, with millions of viewers watching—the actor popped up the question.

AUGUST 19. Marian announced who her florist will be.

We also get an idea on how the wedding set would look: in full bloom with a lot of flowers!

“This is my weakness... I really love flowers! I wish I could be surrounded by flowers like these every single day! Wahahahaha! Thanks to Mia, our wonderful florist!” she gushed on Instagram.

SEPTEMBER 7. The DongYan couple hosted a luncheon for their first batch of principal sponsors at The Goose Station, a restaurant in Bonifacio Global City.

In attendance were Floresfida Gonzalez, Wilma Galvante, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Maria Joycelyn Rustia, Ma. Margarita Gonzalez, Celia Rodriguez, Joyce Bernal, Maria Luisa Henson, Lolit Solis, Antonio P. Tuviera, Eduardo Gonzalez, Joel Anthony Rustia, Mac Alejandre, Ogie Alcasid, German Moreno, Mark Reyes, Randy Ortiz, Perry Lansigan, and Jose Francisco Gonzalez.

SEPTEMBER 17. The pamamanhikan

On his Instagram @dongdantes, Dingdong wrote: "Tonight, we exchanged our family's best kept dishes. Mom's famous Korean beef, Lola Inkang's menudo, and 'soon to be' Mama Amy's healthy lumpia.

"However, more to the trade of meals...a promise was served between two families who support and understand each other, under the spirit of this coming marriage.

"I am grateful to my whole family for being there with me [except Angelo who had to attend to his studies], especially to my parents for taking the lead in asking for her hands.

"Nothing beats tradition. Philippine tradition. Ultimately, thank you to Lola Inkang, tito Leo, and tita 'Mama' Amy for once again instilling the blessing.

"Now, we are all looking forward to the sweet dessert that a married life has to offer. Cheers! #pamamanhikan2014 #OKdinKayErpatsNiyaNoonPang2012"

SEPTEMBER 20. A chat with the wedding gown designer

One exciting part of the wedding preparations: choosing the wedding gown.

Marian chose Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco.

“This moment… haaaay!” she said as she looked at Michael Cinco’s sketch.

We can only expect a radiant, breathtaking bride walking down the aisle.

SEPTEMBER 22-23. The first bridal shower

The first in a series of bridal showers for Marian was held in Hong Kong. Her family and her close friends attended the two-day event.

Marian was tastefully carrying power accessories on the first night: Valentino shoes, Hermes clic-clac, and Botega Venetta knot clutch.

She channeled the kid in her when they went to Disneyland on the second day.

She says of her photo with her mother and grandmother, “How else can i express the joy of the moment but with the ones who raised me...❤ Love you both!”

The first stag party

While the ladies were in Asia, the gentlemen were in Europe!

Dong had a beer party in Germany, which he dubbed on Instagram as "the happiest place on Earth"

SEPTEMBER 27. The second bridal shower

She thought she was just attending the grand launch of an Alabang mall’s gift registry promo, but ended up receiving gifts from 23 different companies in the said event.

OCTOBER 6. Stag party with the press

It was a night full of fun and laughter, but was generally wholesome. No naughty manly stuff involved!

OCTOBER 19. The third bridal shower

Stars from rival networks came together for Marian’s Hello Kitty-inspired spa party.

Organized by her wedding coordinator Teena Barretto and maid of honor Roxanne Barcelo, it was attended by Ai-Ai delas Alas, Angelica Panganiban, Glaiza de Castro, Katrina Halili, John Lapus, Andrea Torres, Sarah Lahbati, Rita Avila, Krystal Reyes, LJ Reyes, Diana Zubiri, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Sheena Halili, Rochelle Pangilinan, Diva Montelaba, Bettina Carlos, Luane Dy, and Gigi Gonzales.

OCTOBER 22. Applying for marriage license

Dingdong himself went to Quezon City Hall.

In an earlier interview with Marian, she said this about her fiancé, “Ang nakakakilig din diyan ay si Dong talaga yung isa sa mga, ang OA sa pagpreprepara sa wedding. Kumbaga, siya talaga e. Sabi ko, ‘Wow, ibang klase talaga.’”

OCTOBER 31. The "royal couple" invited Kris Aquino to become their ninang.

Dingdong starred with Kris in the 2011 MMFF film entry Segunda Mano, while Marian once guested on KrisTV to promote Kung Fu Divas, her film with Ai-Ai delas Alas. The episode became the show’s second highest-rating episode ever.

On Instagram, the Kapamilya actress/host wrote, “SUPER TOUCHED because of their personal effort to come to my FENG SHUI set to invite me to be their Ninang! Thank You @dongdantes & @therealmarian! See you December 30, 2014.”

Kris joins the second batch of powerful and influential principal sponsors that include Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, Mother Lily Monteverde, GMA’s Atty. Felipe Gozon, Solar Entertainment President Wilson Tieng, and Dra. Vicki Belo.

NOVEMBER 4. PNoy to attend the "royal wedding"

It was Kris who confirmed via her Instagram account _krisaquino.

This photo came with the caption: “From yesterday, my future inaanaks @dongdantes & @therealmarian, gave PNoy your invitation & I heard him give instructions to block off Dec 30, 2014 for both of you. ❤️❤️❤️”

NOVEMBER 8. Gown fitting

The bride-to-be shared her delight on Instagram, “I am literally speechless! Thank you @michael5inco for making my dream wedding gown. #JourneytoDday”

For his part, Michael Cinco said, “Expect a fabulous wedding dress for her… She will look beautiful, ethereal, and impalpable on her wedding.”

The DongYan also had their prenup pictorial at the golden desert sands of Dubai, and had dinner at the famed Burj Al-Arab hotel.

NOVEMBER 16. The fourth bridal shower

Together with her manager Tony Tuviera and Triple A family, Marian went to the Lion City of Singapore, where she visited the Universal Studios, "her happy place," and Night Safari Park.

NOVEMBER 18. The fifth bridal shower

One of her ninangs, Celia Rodriguez (who was Marian's co-star in Darna) , threw the fifth and final bridal shower for Marian at the Crimson Hotel in Singapore. It carried a Spanish theme.

Could Marian hold the record for the most number of bridal showers in Pinoy showbiz?

And the #journeytoDday continues...
