At first glance, Elmo Magalona appears to be reserved, and does not seem to be the type who would get into trouble.
But when he was younger, he was a typical boy, capable of doing some weird stuff.
Elmo told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview last December 4, “Hindi ko matandaan yung year, e.
"Pero one Christmas, every day pumupunta kami sa house ng cousin namin. 'Tapos sobrang naaalala ko, sobrang uminom ako ng maraming tubig.
“Sobrang daming tubig 'tapos mga ilang beses."
As a result, "Mga siguro, minimum of 20 times akong pumunta ng bathroom. Basta nakakatawa, sobrang nakakatawa."
Why would Elmo drink a lot of water?
“May game kasi. I think I was 13 or 14,” he said.
CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILY. Just like in the previous years, Elmo will have a traditional celebration with the Mags (how his family is referred to sometimes).
“Christmas last year, okay naman. Ano lang, the usual lang na magkakasama kami ng family. Nanood kami ng fireworks outside nung house namin 'tapos yun, usual lang after midnight.”
The past year was hectic for the Kapuso star, hence, he plans to make it up to his family this Christmas.
“Well, plan ko lang talaga actually, maybe stay home lang with my family kasi, matagal ko na silang hindi nakakasama and I wanna spend quality time with them,” he said.
WISH LIST. Elmo didn’t beat around the bush when asked what he wants to buy for himself on Christmas.
“Wish list for this year, brand new car.
"Gusto ko lang bumili ng brand new car. ‘Di ko pa actually naiisip e [model] marami akong selections na pinipilian, pero wala pa."
His top choice so far? “Nasa wish list ko, X6, BMW na X6.”
Of course, Elmo won’t let the holidays pass by without giving his girlfriend, Janine Gutierrez, a present.
“Last year, binigyan ko siya ng shades, e. This year, maybe something similar. Mahilig siya sa ganun [accessories]. Secret na lang,” he said, smiling.
Lastly, what does Christmas mean to him?
“Christmas is about sharing the love with your family, with your friends, your loved ones.
"It’s a blessing, 'di ba? December, the month of Jesus Christ, it’s the month of sharing love and blessings.”
