Yeng Constantino didn't have to include celebrities in her entourage for the public to sit up and take notice of her wedding.
The Pop Rock Princess exchanged vows with fellow music artist Yan Asuncion in a garden wedding at Hacienda Isabella in Cavite yesterday, February 14.
It was a private, yet meaningful ceremony that didn't have too much media exposure.
Creative brides-to-be can get ideas from Yeng's very personalized wedding.
Here are five things that caught our attention at the nuptials:
1. The “magic door”
Yeng is not the first celebrity to use this idea. Jolina Magdangal also had a similar door at her wedding to Mark Escueta.
At Yeng's wedding, there was a big mirror propped near the entrance to the magic door. Written on the mirror were these words: “Ang panimula ng awitin ng aming mga puso.”
This served as a reminder that once Yeng enters the door, she starts a new chapter in her life.
2. Wedding aisle
Yeng's walk down the aisle was far from ordinary. Along the path were planks that chronicled her and Yan's journey of love.
3. Wedding ceremony setup
Standing in front of the altar, the setup looked normal, ordinary. Only when viewed from above can you see and appreciate Gideon Hermosa's work of art—the ceremony had the shape of a heart.
On his Instagram, the event stylist and florist wrote: “Something simple yet meaningful ceremony set-up for our #YengYanwedding today :) This is the top view photo of our heart-shaped ceremony.
"Composed of 607,000 mini hearts that represents that number of days since they became officially lovers."
4. Reception
Yeng and Yan maintained the simplicity and intimate atmosphere of the wedding at the reception.
5. Ceremonial wedding kiss
Yeng and Yan's first kiss as husband-and-wife showed their wacky personalities.
Nope, they didn't just kiss right away, the couple performed a sketch leading to their kiss, described by one of their friends as, “isa sa pinakamakulit na kiss sa kasal na nakita ko.”
