Amy Perez reveals her two younger boys sometimes get jealous about the attention she gives her husband: “Ayaw nila na kini-kiss ako ng daddy nila sa harap nila. Nagseselos yung dalawa. So parang seloso yung mga boys ko. Mana sa tatay 'ata, hmmmph!”

Busy showbiz mom Amy Perez confesses that her kids are seloso, and are always seeking her attention.

Amy laughs as she narrates, “Yung medyo seloso, si Kyle.

“Ang hirap ding i-handle so kapag dumarating na ako sa bahay, may billing pa kung sino una mong babatiin.

"So una madalas si Kyle.

“Si Isaiah naman, hindi pa naman nakakaramdam ng selos but if I kiss them at night, if you kiss the other one, 'Mama, ako din,' hahabol yung isa so minsan sabay ko na lang sila kini-kiss para wala nang issue.”

She even adds that her kids' jealous streaks extend to their dad.

“Ayaw nila na kini-kiss ako ng daddy nila sa harap nila. Nagseselos yung dalawa. So parang seloso yung mga boys ko. Mana sa tatay 'ata, hmmmph!”

BALANCING WORK AND FAMILY LIFE. Juggling her showbiz duties and domestic responsibilities isn’t easy, she says.

“Noong una, talagang akala ko hindi ko siya magagawa.

“I have to bring my son to school, buti na lang malapit bahay namin sa ABS-CBN, then I go to my radio program.

“Before when I used to do Singing Bee, Thursday and Friday yung talagang hectic ako. Pero on Saturday and Sunday, as much as possible, 'di ako tumatanggap ng trabaho talaga.”

Does she miss hosting a game show?

Soon naman, parang may ibang plans ang ABS, so let's just wait for that.”

TRAVELING TIPS. Chang Amy [how friends call her] also shares some of her tips for traveling locally and abroad.

Her family recently went to Hong Kong Disneyland.

She recounts how she outlined her itinerary, “'Di ko muna sinama yung bunso.

“Basically, alam ko naman, 'pag two years, they can't remember everything.

“So 'tapos gusto ko rin na kami yung magba-bond, so ang ginawa ko is ang dinala ko lang si Kyle and Adi, and then of course ang tatay nila.

"Si Isaiah, naiwan muna sa mommy ko at sa mother-in-law ko.”

She did share that she had to give Kyle a condition for this trip, “Sabi ko kay Kyle, 'pag nag-turn ng 5 or 6 si Isaiah, it will be his turn naman para siya yung maiwan.

“Para at least mayroon kang memory sa kanila na pareho mo silang dinala sa Hong Kong kasi gusto ko rin na tutok akong nakakapag-alaga sa kanila.”

While it won't be easy, she adds, “'Yan ang tip ko sa mga mommies na kunwari may apat kayong anak, huwag rin sabay-sabay na ikaw lahat.

“Imagine mo, eroplano pa lang, nag-fill up ka ng form, ikaw na lahat, pagkain pa nila!”

She's also quite happy she isn't having middle child syndrome or problems with Kyle despite his seloso episodes.

Thankfully, she says, “Wala naman so far now, si Kyle. Wala naman akong nakikita except yung nga lang, seloso lang.”

DO HER KIDS KNOW SHE’S FAMOUS? To this question, Amy laughs and tells us a funny story.

“Ako kasi yung naghahatid kay Kyle sa school everyday.

“Yung mga classmates niya, 'pag nakikita ako, 'Hi Chang Amy!' Babatiin ako.

“One afternoon, nagising ako from a nap, bumababa ako ng hagdanan, sabi ni Kyle, 'Oh wow, gising na siya! Hi Chang Amy!' sabi sa akin ng anak ko.”

She laughs as she remembers, “I said, 'Anak, I happen to be your mother. Just call me Mom, don't call me Chang Amy, kasi nga naririnig nila.'”

She keeps things simple and down-to-earth on the homefront.

She says, “One thing nice about my kids, the moment na nasa bahay ako talaga, alam nila na nanay ako.

"Alam nila na that I appear on TV. But even with my eldest, si Adi, minsan nagugulat pa siya 'pag nasa labas kami, may babati sa akin, 'Ay mom, do you know her?'

“'Hindi anak, it's part of my job.' 'Ay, oo nga pala, you're artista,' ganoon. Nahahati ko naman siya.”

INSTILLING THE VALUE OF THRIFT. Despite her fame and the fortune that comes with it, Amy is also teaching her kids the value of money.

“We discuss kung ano mga needs nila and yung mga wants nila.

“Ine-explain ko rin naman sa kanila na eventually 'pag ganitong age, 'eto makukuha niyo, at saka very limited lang naman sila pagdating sa toys. Hindi namin sila masyado inaano doon.”

Even though they could probably spoil their kids, Amy reiterates, “Like with Adi, nasanay talaga siya na when we go to a toy store, I would tell him talaga, you can only buy a toy that's 300 pesos.

“Lalapit siya sa akin, papakita niya yun, ‘Is this 300 pesos?’

“'Pag 300, bibilhin. ‘Pag lumagpas, hindi na. Nasanay silang ganoon. Kuripot si Nanay!”

UNIQUE PERSONALITIES. Of her kids, we ask Amy who she thinks takes after her.

A pause before replying, “Si Kyle, mas performer, mas ganoon siya. Mas into dancing. Seloso baka din nga. I don't know, let's see. Tingnan natin.”

On allowing her kids to pursue acting should they choose it, Amy remarks, “Puwede naman, pero magtapos muna sila sa pag-aaral. Aral muna.”

She feels lucky that Adi caught the last batch before K-12 came in.

She huffs, “Sabi nga niya, 'Ay salamat!' Hindi siya inabutan. Sila yung last batch sa La Salle.

"College na siya, yung dalawa aabutan talaga.”

Amy also shares that her husband Carlo's job is something that even her second child feels attracted to.

She discloses, “Right now, may influence ng dad, kasi the dad is a police reporter, so always out with the police.

“So 'pag tinanong mo si Kyle what do you wanna be when you grow up, he’d say, 'I want to be a policeman.'”

Isaiah, her youngest boy, she describes as “very amiable, very masayahin, puwede siya nakawin, magha-hi sa lahat.

“Si Kyle yung medyo moody nang konti, pero feeling ko siya yung mag-aartista kasi moody!”
