Not doing anything yet this summer? Rodjun Cruz advises, "...iba yung bonding na magagawa niyo, iba yung happiness at saka yung fulfilment na enjoy-in mo yung Pilipinas na kasama yung friends mo, family mo."

Rodjun Cruz is the type who exercises so he can eat whatever he wants.

At the Merrell Capra Challenge 2015 held at the Track 30th, Bonifacio Global City, he told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Ako kasi, mahilig talaga ako kumain. Yung iba kasi, diet talaga.

“Ako nagdi-diet ako kapag may event, kapag may yang photo shoot, pero kapag walang work, ‘yan, mahilig talaga ako kumain!

“Hobby ko kumain!

“So kailangan talaga bawiin ko sa gym, ‘tapos’ yan eto, ang dami kong ginagawa ngayon, newbie mountaineer, ‘tapos Muay Thai ako, ‘tapos basketball, ‘tapos ‘yan, mahilig ako mag-gym."

Yup, that’s how dedicated he is as far as his fitness goals are concerned.

"Actually, ang sabi kasi nila, pag nagwo-work out ka, ‘di lang two months, three months workout for summer.

READY FOR SUMMER FUN. When asked about his plans, he said going to the beach is inevitable.

Yun kasi, okay.

Instead of playing videos or staying glued to iPads, Rodjun advised, “Explore!”

MOUNTAIN-CLIMBING. One of his recent discoveries is the joy of climbing.

"Ang saya pala, ang ganda, so sabi nila.

“Natuwa naman ako kasi after nung unang akyat namin sa Mount Manalmon [in San Miguel, Bulacan], sabi ko, ‘Wow, gusto ko na gawin ‘to.’"

But first, he had to buy a pair of trekking shoes. His first pair was orange.

"Ganoon e parang iba, e. Pag nag-gi-gym ako, kapag bago yung suot kong pang-gym, excited akong mag-work out.

Now, there’s group on Viber called SAS mountaineers, which also includes her girlfriend, Dianne Medina.

Rodjun shared, "Iba yung bonding and experience talaga.

“Parang after every akyat namin, nagiging mas close kami, pamilya talaga kami. Sobrang saya lang, parang walang pagod."

Dianne, who was also at the event, chimed in, "Napatunayan ko na ‘di niya ako iiwan.

She also recalled one incident when Aicelle Santos, who was also part of the Capra Challenge, lost her earrings while they were hiking.

"Si Ate Aicelle, nawala yung earrings, ang tagal namin, naghanap talaga kami, ako yung nakahanap."

Rodjun picked up the story when they discovered that Aicelle was missing her earring, "Andoon na kami sa river, andoon na kami sa spot kung saan kami nag-i-enjoy.

“But because they are a team, everyone went back to look for it.”

When they started, there were just five of them
