Jasmine Curtis-Smith on her goal this 2015: “I have this new thing where you should just live in the moment and appreciate what’s in it for you,” says the 21-year-old TV5 star in a recent interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Being single is fun.

Ask Jasmine Curtis-Smith who has been making the most out of her single status doing what she loves to do at her own pace and time.

Here, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) rounds up how Jasmine pursues a better version of herself with a positive attitude coupled with a healthy lifestyle.

1. Live in the moment.

Jasmine tells PEP: “I’m very happy with where I am.

“I have this new thing where you should just live in the moment and appreciate what’s in it for you.”

Example: Jasmine marked her 21st birthday last April in Thailand, where she bungee-jumped for the first time in her life.

Since that experience, she has vowed to take more risks, endure the difficulties the entail, and choose happiness whenever she can.

2. Get a good night sleep.

After a long day at work, Jasmine makes it a point to get as much sleep as she can.

Not only does it make her feel rejuvenated the next day, but it’s a good beauty routine that, she stresses, won’t hurt your pocket.

“Ngayon, I sleep earlier,” she says, and on occasions she does not, it means, “I’m with friends.”

3. Connect with friends.

Jasmine stays happy by surrounding herself with people who truly love and care for her.

“I make sure that my social relationships are intact and healthy,” she points out.

4. Stay fit.

Jasmine hits the gym to strengthen her core, arms, and thighs under the supervision of her personal trainer.

She started around three months ago, but had to take it easy because of a minor injury on her right arm due to car racing and on her right leg due to recent dancing stint.

As for her food intake, the TV5 star says she’s currently on a “low-carb, high protein” diet.

“I still eat carbs [like] potato, fries, pasta [basta] proportioned.

“Kumain ka ng chicken ‘wag lang yung skin.

“Avoid too much salt, sugary foods because it’s also healthier for you to do that.

“And it’s better for your body to have proportioned meals.

"I eat better now. At least, I think so."

5. Be the best that you can be.

Now that she’s not doing any TV series, Jasmine keeps herself busy as a co-host in TV5’s upcoming Sunday variety show, Happy Truck Ng Bayan.

“It’s a good period to challenge yourself with hosting and interacting with the audience.

“Kasi this is the first time that I’ll actually get to interact with live audience hindi lang yung co-hosts mo or contestants ng show like what I did for Move It.”

She adds that she’s happy to be part of the roster of talents of TV5, where she has an exclusive contract until end of 2016.
