The team-up of Alden Richards and the Dubsmash sensation Maine Mendoza, who portrays Yaya Dub in “Juan For All, All For Juan” segment of Eat Bulaga, has gained a huge following, boosting further the ratings of the longest-running noontime show.
Now Pinoy viewers want to know where unfolding love story of Alden and Yaya Dub—now popularly known as AlDub—will eventually lead.
But in spite of its newfound fame, their team-up is apparently all for show, literally and figuratively, as Alden has consistently declared he is putting his love life on hold.
He had said he is focused on his career and earning more to help support his family.
Although in an interview a few months back, he revealed his hope that love will find him this year.
COURTING STYLE. And once Alden meets the girl he feels strongly for, how will he court her?
“Ako kasi natural lang ako. Be yourself,” Alden said on Tonight With Arnold Clavio, which aired on July 22, Wednesday.
The actor added that he is not the kind of guy who would put his best foot forward just to impress a girl.
“Yung hindi ikaw, wag mong gawin…
“Nanliligaw ka, ang ginagawa mo pinapakitaan mo ng mga bagay na hindi mo naman kayang i-sustain for the longest time.”
For the 23-year-old actor, the best way to a woman’s heart is to be just yourself.
“Kapag pinakita mo lang yung sarili mo, walang magbabago sa relationship kasi kung paano ka niya nakikilala, ganun kayo tatagal.
“Tumagal kayo kasi walang nagbago.”
Previously, Alden was romantically linked to Julie Anne San Jose, his fellow co-host in the upcoming GMA-7 Sunday variety show Sunday Pinasaya.
