The country’s most beautiful celebrities gathered to celebrate 15 years of YES! magazine at the grand ballroom of Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas Center last night, July 27.
Influential personalities and entertainment icons who have graced the pages of the magazine sat down and shared the night with the next generation of star power.
Celebrities also wore their best interpretation of “shining and shimmering” fashion, and they did not disappoint.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) picked out the most stylish looks of the night.
BELLE OF THE BALL. Three Kapuso beauties nailed the night's fashion game: who's got the most sexy back?
#3. Kris Bernal
Kris looked charming in a champagne pink gown designed by AJ Alberto.
STYLE POINTS on the perfect fit that clung to her curves, right length, subtle make-up, and her big curls!
#2 Lovi Poe
A YES! primetime beauty, Lovi's prim and proper façade had a surprise geometric cut from side to back.
Her dress was designed by Charina Sarte.
STYLE POINTS on her lithe frame (you can't pull it off with extra fats) and minimalist approach—pulled-back hair and less accents, save for the gold earrings and bangle.
#1 Janine Gutierrez
The newly-named fashion muse Janine solidified her status with this nude ensemble designed by Vania Romoff.
Janine is no doubt one of the showbiz heirs to keep an eye on.
STYLE POINTS on her glowing skin, bouffant hairdo, and barely-there make-up.
THEY SPARKLED! Other celebrities brought in the fashion A-game.
Sunshine Cruz was elegance personified in her Yang Bautista gown.
Ina Raymundo almost didn’t make it to the event because she had a problem with her gown. Good thing her closet had this Ready-to-Wear dress. She really rocked it!
Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares, who came from the SONA (State of the Nation Address) earlier that day, made sure she wore the right Filipiniana dress in both occasions.
DARING. Eye-catching design pieces gave the stars an edge that evening.
True to her rocker soul, KZ Tandigan channeled her inner Rihhana in an Asian-inspired pantsuit.
Hailed by YES! as one of the beautiful chameleons of the industry, LJ Reyes took a modern twist on this Grecian goddess designed by Anthony Ramirez.
FHM cover girl and Star Magic Angel, Myrtle Sarrosa rocked an intricate designer dress by Rocky Gathercole, who also does designs for Jennifer Lopez.
She paired her look with a pair of Star Magic Angel heels by Das Sisters.
LESS IS MORE. Confidence—not the blings, ostentatious gowns and details, elaborate make-up and hairdo—is the most important fashion accessory.
Ritz Azul didn't find the need to bare any skin.
Clad in a Bianca Cordero gown, her beauty-pageant training must have taught her the way to stand out: stand tall and smile!
Shalani Soledad wore a Filipinina gown designed by Anthony Ramirez.
Minimal accessories did not minimize her beauty.
Rochelle Pangilinan made the morenas proud in this Jaz Cerezo gown.
RADIANT BLISS. Beauty changes for the better when you have settled with the one you love, and anticipating a bundle of joy to arrive.
In an interview with PEP, Andrew Smith said his wife Diana Zubiri was the most beautiful that evening in her Ryan Manansala gown.
Diana accompanied this photo with this description “first red carpet together.”
The YES! Most Beautiful Star in 2009, Marian Rivera looked radiant in this Vania Romoff dress.
Her baby bump and the man beside her were her best accessories.
