This September, Anne Curtis gives YES! an all-access pass to her upscale condo unit in one of Makati’s most exclusive and expensive vertical residences.
Anne’s modern eclectic home is a huge departure from her previous modern Victorian-inspired townhouse in Parañaque City.
Her unit is spacious, open, and furnished with chic, distressed furniture pieces that have charm and personality.
"'Yong girly-girly na white picket fence pa sa dati kong bahay,” says the 30-year-old actress, who is celebrating her 18th anniversary in showbiz this year. “I think it just comes with age and with this condo, I wanted to come home to a house that’s cozy, relaxed, laidback.”
More than looking fashionable, Anne wants her home to look warm and lived-in.
“I don’t think anyone else gets my style na mix and matchy, na mukha talagang lived-in.
"Kasi when you look at other designers, mostly talagang pulido ’yong gawa, na mukhang showroom na ’yong dating. Hindi gano’n ang gusto ko for my house.”
Aside from showing us her enviable shoe and bag collections and her favorite spaces, including the master bedroom where she keeps a nude colored sketch of herself (done by no less than the National Artist for Visual Arts, BenCab), the box-office star opens up about her personal life, her family, and her laidback childhood in Australia.
Anne also recalls the challenges, the pains, the joys, and the successes that she met when she was just starting out.
She also shares her newest passion-project: being a Unicef celebrity advocate for children.
For the first time, the long-time Swatch endorser also talks about the most private part of her life: her relationship with boyfriend Erwan Heussaff.
Anne admits that the possibility of settling down with Erwan excites her and makes her nervous at the same time.
“Of course, exciting,” she reveals, “I mean, of course you get excited about it. But I guess it’s different when you’re career-driven.
"But I know in a few years it will be, ‘Come on, let’s do this!’ Hahaha. Of course, it’s always exciting to think about it.”
Is she willing to turn her back on showbiz in favor of a more quiet family life?
“Well if it’s for family, and being a mother, yes.”
