Marlo Mortel turns his favorite accessory into a business

Marlo Mortel is into selling bracelets made of semi-precious stones and crystals.

Host-singer-actor Marlo Mortel is also a businessman.

He calls it Ornstal, which stands for Oriental Stones and Crystals.

It sells bracelets made of semi-precious stones and crystals.

Marlo told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last November 23, at the press conference of Haunted Mansion, that his business venture—which started two months ago—took inspiration from his own fashion style.

At the presscon, he was actually wearing one.

And whether he's on-cam, co-hosting Umagang Kay Ganda as Boyfie ng Bayan...

...or off-cam, he wears it.

The Harana Band member continued, “'Tapos naisip ko, 'Bakit di kaya ako gumawa ng ganoong business since wala naman masyado sa Philippines gumagawa ng ganoon?'

“'Tapos sakto naman, noong two weeks pa lang kami, nabigyan naman ng chance [na ma-feature] sa Kris TV, so doon na talaga siya nag-boom.

“Actually it’s doing really good.”

Even the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino was spotted wearing the bracelets in different episodes of Kris TV.

According to Marlo, one of his friends supplies the oriental stones his company uses for the bracelets.

Soon, he wants it to be available and more visible in places frequented by people.

So ayun yung pinag-iisipan namin.”
