Celebrities are known trendsetters. They start a fad, influence opinions and tastes, turn a craze into mania. Everyone gets on their bus.
But in this age of social media, they don't just dictate the uso. They sometimes become the uso and even nakikiuso.
Year 2015 in the local scene saw the rise of bold fashion statements and all sorts of #goals as well as the revival of some classics, including those that were once baduy.
It was also ablaze with bombshells and phenomena.
There were words and phrases that became favorite expressions and spoofy videos that bred Internet sensations and superstars.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) rounds up 15 of these trends that became patok na patok in showbiz.
15. Round shades
Yup, anything but square frames were all the rage last year because they instantly added playfulness to any look.

13. Prints, stripes, and checkered togs galore!
What used to be a no-no in stylish dressing became "a bold statement, fashion-forward, defying convention" in 2015.
Vice Ganda, Coleen Garcia, Kim Jones and Whong Navarro were among the celebs who went around in floral printed and striped ensembles, and they pulled it off, fashionably so.

12. Achieve!
There was something about the way James Reid delivered it as Clark in his television series with Nadine Lustre, On The Wings Of Love.
He effortlessly "achieved" being so cool and charming and cute.
Hence, the word became a favorite expression, along with "Push," "Ikaw na," and "Juskolord."

11. #WalangForever
The phrase actually became a popular "hugot" in 2014.
Its impact, however, was felt this year because of Dan Villegas's film, starring Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales. Walang Forever was hailed Best Picture in the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival 2015.
COMELEC also used it as a catchphrase during the last day of voter registration.

@Walkah_Walkahon Twitter
Even Vice President Jejomar Binay's camp used it on Twitter in retort to the statement of Edwin Lacierda, presidential spokesperson of President Benigno S. Aquino III.
Ironically, though, it was popularized by Vice Ganda whose Beauty and the Bestie was also an MMFF entry.
Remember his line, "Walang forever sa taong bitter?"
