One of Ai-Ai delas Alas's ultimate goals in life is to build a huge church.
In a previous interview with GMA, she said, “Dream ko magpagawa ng napakalaking simbahan bago man lang ako mag-expire sa mundo at kapag humarap ako sa Lumikha, si Father God, at least may masasabi ako sa kanya na nagawa ko.”
To make it happen, the Comedy Queen spearheaded a fund-raising concert For The Love of Mama Mary in November 2015, to finance the construction of Kristong Hari Parish Church in Fairview, Quezon City.
More than five months later, Ai-Ai was happy to announce on Instagram that the construction of Kristong Hari Parish Church has finally started, and is set to hold its groundbreaking rites on April 30.
Ai-Ai posted a photo of her conversation with Father Lando Jaluag.
She told Fr. Jaluag, "Para po kay Lord sa lahat ng binigay niya sa buhay ko.
“May maibalik man lang po ako kahit konti na makakapag-pangiti sa ating Panginoon.”
Ai-Ai also expressed her gratitude to the people who had a special participation in the fund-raising concert.
Among them were Alden Richards, Erik Santos, Gabbi Garcia, Ruru Madrid, Kylie Padilla, and her son Sancho delas Alas.
