Seven weekend and holiday thrills in Bonifacio Global City

Have you brought your kids to The Mind Museum? If you have a Mastercard, you get one free for every for every three paid tickets. This is valid until December 30.


Have you figured out your plans this Christmas season?

Have you come up with a checklist of sorts?

If not, this year is the best time to start.

It's basically coming up with things to do, ensuring that you get to spend a sulit weekend before you welcome 2017.

Consider it a reward to yourself and your family after a year of working so hard.

But since traffic is bound to be at its worst, it's best to cluster your activities per area.

This checklist is all about BGC or Bonifacio Global City, which is presently dubbed the "Home of Passionate Minds."

1. Run or bike or do both.

If you have kids, let them play habulan, patintero, etc. in any of these parks.

There's the Track 30th, which has a jogging path, yoga and exercise lawn, and a meditation garden.

Terra 28th which also has an interactive playground for kids.

The BGC Greenway Park, which is the currently the longest linear park in Metro Manila.

2. Shop and enjoy some perks.

The cool thing about Bonifacio High Street is you get to feel the cool December breeze.

The first main street retail concept in the Philippines, it is a kilometer-long shopping boulevard with a 40-meter wide park.

3. Food trip

You won't run out of choices because there are over 100 restaurants and various cuisines.

Some of them, like the Cable Car in The Fort, are owned by celebrities.

You can also go clubbing and experience BGC's colorful nightlife.

4. If you have kids, take them to The Mind Museum.

It currently has an ongoing exhibition called Science Circus: Step Right Up, plus the Teenage Brain Exhibit.

5. Flying Trapeze

According to its website, the one in BGC is the "first and ONLY full size Flying Trapeze rig in the Philippines and one of only a few in all of Asia."

They currently have a "Fly All You Can" promo every Sunday.

6. Do not forget to check out the public art.

There are presently 19 sculptures and murals on buildings, parks, streets, etc.

The BGC Passion Fest 2016 will also happen this weekend, from November 25 to 27. It's going to be a day of fun, food, and fiesta.

7. Lastly, if you want to put the word "relax" in your BGC weekend, include "staycation" on your checklist.

If you're a Mastercard holder, you can avail of 50% discount at SEDA Hotel BGC every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from December 15, 2016 to February 28, 2017.

There's also 15% discount on a la carte food and drinks, from Sundays to Thursdays, at the hotel's Straight Up roof deck bar, plus another 15% discount on its baked goodies for Christmas.
