One of the most-loved fairy tales of all time will be told once again in the musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, starting October 9, 2013 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.
TV actress-singer Karylle will assume the title role, while her perennial leading man in musicals, Christian Bautista, will play Prince Christopher, Cinderella's Prince Charming.
The stage play is a reunion project for Christian and Karylle, who teamed up in The Kitchen Musical (2011), a TV musical series in Singapore and the stage play, Rama Hari (2012).
Alternating for Karylle as Cinderella are Julia Abueva and Justine Peña, while Fred Lo will be Christian's understudy as Prince Charming.
Other members of the all-Filipino ensemble are Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Pinky Marquez, Sweet Plantado, Sheila Francisco, Miguel Faustman, Maronne Cruz, Gianina Ocampo and Red Concepcion.
