This year's Sangyaw Festival centered on the theme, Resilient Tacloban, in honor of their patron saint Sto. Niño de Tacloban.
Sangyaw means "to announce or herald a news."
Led by Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez and Vice Mayor Jerry "Sambo" Yaokasin, the festival had a month-long celebration this June.
