IN PHOTOS: Mutya ng Pilipinas 2016 winners crowned

Each crown of the Mutya ng Pilipinas winners costs roughly 200,000 pesos.

Mutya ng Pilipinas, the annual pageant that started in 1965, crowned its queens at Resorts World Manila this weekend.

But getting the crown wasn't an easy thing. The lovely ladies who competed for the title had to overcome several hurdles in order to win one of the five crowns designed by Hoseki.

Made of ermine silver dipped in 14-karat gold, each of the 200,000-peso crown glittered with white sapphire, pearls, ivory, and kamagong.
