Andrea Brillantes is becoming quite the expert when it comes to make-up.
The Kadenang Ginto actress is known for doing her own make-up during most of her shows, including the weekly variety show ASAP.
She is also known on YouTube for her make-up tutorials.
But that doesn't mean Andrea spends most of her days wearing make-up.
Whenever she is off-camera, the young Kapamilya actress wears little to no make-up at all.
"Hindi talaga ako nagme-make-up kapag aalis ako," she tells the press at the Brilliant Skin Essential beauty convention held last July 21, 2019, in Pasay City.
"Hindi ako nagme-make-up. Nagba-balm lang ako para hindi dry lips. Yun lang talaga."
At most, Andrea will wear a layer of either lip balm or lip tint when she goes out.
With so many teens her age that are into make-up, the young actress sees how wearing too much of it makes them look older.
She says, "Parang ang bilis na tuloy nila tumanda. Pag tinitignan sila, nasa 20s na sila.
"E, ayoko kasi imadali yung pagiging teenager ko kasi alam ko na dadating din ako sa age na yun. Dadating din, pagdadaanan ko din yan. Kaya ayoko ma-miss..."
ANDREA'S BEAUTY SECRET
In a previous interview, the actress-YouTuber shares her secret to glowing skin. The product is not only affordable, it's also something you can even get for free.
So, what's her secret to minimizing her pores?
"Naglalagay po ako ng ice sa mukha ko every day," Andrea tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
"Minsan binababad ko yung mukha ko sa isang malaking bowl na panay ice ng bote."
The simple act of massaging her face with ice cubes is an indulgence for Andrea, and she can do it for hours.
"Nakaka-fresh po siya."
