It has come to this. Grown women sporting baby-like facial skin known as glass skin.

It is popularized by celebrities like Liza Soberano, Kathryn Bernardo, Angelica Panganiban, and Dimples Romana who all have been taking the treatment from the time it was introduced in the country.

In fact, since this glossy, poreless facial look became a trend in late 2017, the number of beauty clinics offering glass skin treatment has risen nationwide.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) notes down some of the glass skin services that you can get from beauty clinics nationwide.

AIVEE GLASS FACIAL, THE AIVEE CLINIC

The Aivee Clinic's Glass Facial is a non-invasive treatment that promises to brighten, hydrate, and rejuvenate your skin.

The process involves the removal of your whiteheads, blackheads, and other elements blocking your pores using an extraction tool or metal stick.

After the extraction, the esthetician will apply serum that will whiten your skin and treat acne.

It restores your skin's natural radiance by addressing common skin concerns like dryness, rough texture, and uneven tone.

The treatment also minimizes signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, and large pores.

Prior to the procedure, you will be advised to consult one of Belo's in-house dermatologists who will give you recommendations based on your skin concerns.

After that comes the actual treatment.

In an Instagram post uploaded on September 20, Belo Clinic shows that the procedure consists of four steps:

"First, deep wash technology forms micro-bubbles that help deliver nourishing liquids into the skin.

"[Second,] lactic acid is used for the face, while glycolic acid is used for the T-zone.

"Finally, an ultrasound treatment using Hyaluronic acid gel reduces wrinkles and hydrates skin profusely."

Having your skin hydrated is important because, as Belo Clinic says, "Well-hydrated skin reflects light better creating the illusion of glass skin."

You may take the treatment once a month or every two weeks, depending on your dermatologist's prescription.
