Rhian Ramos recently discovered the amazing effects of sheet masks.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last Thursday, January 23, Rhian said she has added sheet masks to her skin-care routine as part of her beauty resolutions for the year, and they have helped moisturize her face.
She told PEP.ph, "I was seriously lacking in my moisturizing for the first 28 years of my life, so I'm gonna work on that.
"And I already incorporated mga sheet masks. I'm very new to that. Ngayon ko lang ginagawa. I'm super late."
Rhian said her sister Nadine introduced her to sheet masks.
The Love Of My Life star said, "She started doing the sheet-mask thing two years ago, so I found that out from her."
Also, from reading articles on the internet about the sheet mask, Rhian learned it is part of the trendy 10-step Korean beauty routine.
She said, "It's like every night 10 steps. And then every morning, it's a different 10 steps."
However, Rhian admitted skipping most of the steps, "I'm honestly only doing the mask, the moisturizer, and making sure that my skin is clean."
She added, "The sheet masks I use are either aloe or cucumber, that's it."
The Kapuso actress said she has been careful about not leaving the mask on her face longer than the recommended period of 15 minutes.
She explained, "I used to think it was better to leave it on until like I really felt my skin would absorb everything.
"But they say, after 15 minutes, you have to take it off because at that point, the mask will start drawing out the moisture [on your face] naman because it's dry.
"So you really have to stop there and control yourself. Don't have that thought na, 'E sayang naman, basa pa siya e.'"
To maximize the use of sheet mask, after removing it from her face, Rhian applies the same sheet to moisturize her knees and elbows.
"When you take it off, I kinda rub the excess on my skin. I get the mask and rub it on my elbows and my knees."
