Cassy Legaspi has made her debut on YouTube.
In her first video post dated September 26, 2020, the GMA-7 star shares her thoughts about keeping a positive attitude toward one's body regardless of its shape.
Body positivity appears to be one of Cassy's advocacies, admitting it took her "a long time" before she came to realization that it starts with a better outlook.
The daughter of Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel says, "I have a lot of things to say about body positivity.
"A lot of people tend to think of aesthetics when it comes to body positivity? 'Aw, she has a good body, she must be perfect' or something like that.
"I just changed my mindset, and I think you guys should change your mindset, too. 'Am I healthy?' Fine, that's it, I'm good."
Cassy goes on to remark that young people tend to complain about their imperfections.
She asserts, "Body positivity is supposed to be celebrating what your body can do for you.
"'Aw, wala akong abs' or 'Aw, my legs are big' or something like that. Your legs help you walk though. And your abs are like the center of your body, so that's what helps you pick up stuff and get out of bed and all of that stuff."
The 19-year-old performer underlines, "I think you just need to learn to be thankful for the body that you have. For the body that God blessed you with."
Briefly, what Cassy is saying is to accentuate the positive, to focus on keeping one's well-being rather be miserable finding flaws in one's body.
