In the ever-evolving world of skincare and beauty, there's a constant quest for the fountain of youth.
For actress-style icon Heart Evangelista, her journey towards aging gracefully has led her to the wonders of Ultherapy, a revolutionary non-invasive procedure for skin tightening and lifting.
"Actually, that was one of the first, like, anti-aging machines that I ever tried in my life and for many years, actually," she shared in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press.
The interview took place on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Palacio De Memoria in Parañaque City, where Heart was officially unveiled as the newest face of the said beauty brand.
Heart also disclosed that it was beauty doctor Aivee Teo from Aivee Clinic who introduced her to the treatment.
"I would regularly do it every six months, pero sometimes four months.
"But it's really one of the top ones... na yun talaga yung pinapakita sa akin, Dra. Aivee. So, that's why when they connected...
"Actually, they all connected because of Dra. Aivee."

For those unfamiliar with the treatment, Ultherapy utilizes an applicator equipped with ultrasound technology to target the body's natural collagen and stimulate the production of new collagen fibers.
Dermatologists recommend undergoing Ultherapy at least once every six months to maintain its effectiveness.
As for Heart, she utilizes this beauty treatment to target specific parts of her face.
"I do it to sculpt my face. But now, it's for the skin also, para mas snatched."
She continued, "Like, before, I would just do my jowls. But now, I do my neck as well.
"And sometimes, I also do the eyelids. So, when it droops, it's very important. So, for Asian eyes, nagdu-droop.
"Pero, they usually put the rubber inside to protect the eyes. But I just do it on my brows to give a brow lift. So, that's what I do."
HEART EVANGELISTA: BEAUTY ADVICE
Heart acknowledged the common reluctance or hesitation that many people feel when considering trying beauty treatments.
This reluctance often stems from preconceived notions or beliefs about such treatments, which may include concerns about effectiveness, safety, or discomfort.
Despite the reservations that some may have, Heart encouraged others to consider these treatments, emphasizing their non-invasive nature.
"It's not invasive. So, that's the number one.
"You don't have to worry about anything scary like seeing blood or anything like that. It's technically a machine."
"It's available for us to use. So, why not?"
Heart also advised to start maintenance treatments early to avoid regret later on.
"You're given a chance to maintain. So, start as early as you can. You don't want to regret.
"So, I guess that's the straight-up advice that I can give them."
Heart also mentioned that some may choose to use Emla, a topical anesthetic, to reduce discomfort during these non-invasive treatments.
"Mas masakit yung mga personal na pinagdadaanan natin. This is nothing.
"So, you know, I mean, this is like for yourself. So, it's not naman that painful. Especially with the Emla. So, it's not.
"And some people even, they give you a relaxant if they're very nervous.
"But honestly, you don't even need that. It's just the Emla, and it's fine."
