Among KaladKaren’s current beauty obsessions is the Prestige Rose Soothing Gel of Naturals by Watsons.
It’s something “nakaka-fresh,” she exclaimed during the variant’s launch at SM North EDSA branch in April.
Besides, it has niacinamide, which is known for brightening skin and improving its texture.
The host elaborates, “Kasi, you know, it has niacinamide. Uso-uso iyan sa TikTok, e. Yung niacinamide ingredient.
"Andami ng products na may niacinamide.
“What's best about the Naturals, the Prestige Rose variant is that, di ba, parang Naturals, natural ingredients, na sinamahan ng niacinamide. So, di ba, it's the best of both worlds.

“Oo, maganda rin kasi talaga kung anong ninalagay natin sa katawan natin, di ba?
"We have to be mindful with the things that we put in our body.
"Because our body is, you know, it's a temple, and we have to look after it.
“Kasi yung iba, may mga harmful ingredients that, of course, will affect our health.
So I think it's always nice to go naturally.”
Aside from the ingredients, Kaladkaren goes through a trial-and-error process to test the product’s efficacy and suitability to her skin.
“I think I am... ano ko, fan din ako ng clean beauty. Yung ingredients that's good for you and good for the environment.
"So I always try to look for products na, alam naman natin yung mga products may kanya-kanyang pangako iyan.
"But I want products that can deliver their promises.
“And, of course, yung hiyang sa akin. Totoo pa rin yun, e. But what works for me might not work for you.
"What I like is something that you know, tight, di ba?
“So ako, kung ano yung mga nakasanayan ko. But I also try to explore different products...
“Once hindi ko nagustuhan, hindi na ako uulit.”

Aside from the soothing gel, these are the products she uses for her beauty regimen.
Snailwhite Gold Advance Cream Retinol + Bakuchiol
Kaldkaren says, “I use moisturizer on my face every night. Pero kasi Snailwhite ang aking toner at saka ang aking facial cream. With retinol and bakuchiol, pangalanan na natin."
Retinol is an anti-aging ingredient that also helps get rid of pigmentation, tighten the pores, and smooth out wrinkles and fine lines.
Bakuchiol is actually a natural plant-derived alternative to a retinoid or retinol to stimulate collagen production.
She continues, “I always make sure that I remove my make-up. Kasi I wear make-up everyday for work.”

Kaladkaren also also counts the Olive variant as part of her beauty staples.
She continues, “And then the argan for shampoo. Gusto ko rin yung lavender kasi nakaka... Ang bango niya, nakaka-relax siya.
"Parang puwede siya, ano, aromatherapy.”
Her hair is so “malago,” what is her secret.
“Well, thanks to hair extensions and everything. Totohanan na tayo,” she says laughing.
