Elisse Joson is set to inspire other moms to embrace change.

On May 25, 2024, at the Manila House in Bonifacio Global City, Elisse opened up about her journey into motherhood as she was introduced as the new face of New Moon PH.

"Being a woman and a mother, entering this new chapter is something new for me," Elisse shared with the press including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the launch.

"I think the time is perfect to be able to launch the New Moon, as I truly feel that [it aligns with my] newness in motherhood."

"But siyempre sometimes what really matters is how we take care of ourselves within...

"And I’m so happy that I’ve been trying out this new product, which is the Soft Glow na alam mong even if you miss a couple of steps in your skin-care routine, as long as you’re taking care of your self within, and taking these capsules regularly, you’re all set, you’re good to go."

ELISSE JOSON ON taking day off as mom

Elisse also shared that as a mother, she has become more patient. She noted that motherhood has considerably tempered her outbursts.

In her words, "Siguro after ng naging nanay ako, nabawasan yung walang kuwentang toyo.'

"Pero pag sinasabi ko, tinopak, ano na yun, there's an actual reason for it. Pero hindi na yung, the way I manage it, hindi na yung kagaya dati."

She has also learned to manage stress better than before, by taking a day off when needed, and not forcing herself to be productive during difficult times.

"I make sure I just take a day off. Hindi ko pinipilit yung sarili kong may gawin sa isang araw 'cause I know I'm not gonna be productive naman kung mayroong problema.

"So binibigyan ko yung sarili ko ng time to process it. And embrace it. Kung ano man yun. Kahit hindi maganda yung feeling na yun.

"And then the next day, I'll feel better. A little better. At parang mayroon akong drive to go through it."

Elisse reiterated the importance of taking a break to process and deal with her feelings, which has helped become more driven the next day.

"Kaya sinasabi ko na it's important to take a day off or little time off. Kasi lahat naaapektuhan. It's like a domino effect.

"If you're going through something, certainly lalabas at lalabas iyan, maapektuhan yung daily activities mo.

"That's why I say it's important to take a few moments to yourself na damdamin, mag-sip ng solusyon kung ano man hug pinagdadaanan."

ELISSE JOSON ON BALANCING TIME

In addition to being more patient and learning to take breaks, Elisse said she has become better at time management since she became a mom.

Admitting that managing her own business could be challenging, she has always taken pride in continuing to run her own beauty brand, Lunch Break Beauty, even now as a mother.

She said, "Mahirap siya, sa totoo lang. Hindi ko... wala ako parang other word for it, kung hindi mahirap siya.

"But at the end of the day, it's fulfilling. Kasi I went in the business, in that type of business, because I myself enjoy it.

"It's a passion for me. So mas nakakabawas sa hardship, I guess.

"And nandun yung fulfillment na alam mo, at the end of the day, you're helping other people to feel beautiful and confident in themselves.

"And then, pangalawa is yung ginagawa mo ito because of my family."
