Drag queens, it's safe to assume, must have quite an arsenal beauty tricks account for their dramatic transformation during their appearances.
In fact, Drag Den Philippines Season 1 winner, Naia Black, has quite an ace up her sleeve to achieve her flawless make-up look.
She revealed using some rather daring and unconventional methods to ensure her make-up during her performances is sweat-proof.
Naia told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Honestly, when I started doing drag, we were just using hairspray. It's so bad for you, but it works. That's the secret."
But she warned, "Don't do it. Because it's comedogenic. It will clog your pores, okay? Don't do that."
She also admitted using craft glitter or nail glitter to achieve that extra bling.
But, again, she cautioned against following her example, "I'm actually using nail glitter. It's so bad for you. It's so bad. Don't do it.
"You children watching at home, thinking, of like, 'Oh, that drag queen looks so good.'
"I use nail glitter on my eye. It's so bad for you.
"But it looks so good from far away. Do you see? It's flat. But, oh my gosh, I would not recommend.
"Okay, don't use craft glitter as well. But it looks so good.
"For the drag queens who are daring, go ahead. Try it."

Naia exposed those risky beauty secrets in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph during the SM Beauty's So Much Pride event at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City on June 26, 2024.
NAIA BLACK'S DRAG QUEEN MUST-HAVES
Naia also revealed some of her must-haves for her drag beauty looks.
Instead of hairspray to set her make-up, she now uses the Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ Makeup Setting Spray for prepping her skin and the Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ Matte Setting Spray to lock it in.
She said, "I use MAC Fix Plus Setting Spray. I also use the matte one for setting my primer.
"So that's actually my secret to a really good base. I set my primer. I put moisturizer, primer, and then setting spray before I put my foundation. So it will last.
"I just performed. Look, I'm still sweaty, but still, it's intact. It's holding."
These MAC setting sprays are both priced at PHP1,800 on lookatme.com.ph. They are also available at Lazada and Shopee.

To those looking for affordable options, try Dazzle Me's Get a Grip setting spray. A bundle of two is only PHP379 on Lazada.

Big lashes and a trustworthy eyeliner are also must-haves for Naia.
For her eyeliner, she prefers the Inglot Gel Pot Eyeliner because it's "super good" and "glides so easily."
Naia said, "Lashes. The big ones. If I don't have my big lashes, I will freak out. I need my eyeliner, definitely. Again, if I don't have it, I'll freak out."
This gel pot eyeliner is available for PHP1,250 on Lazada.

Naia is also obsessed with highlighters, "I use it everywhere. Must-have. Need it. Want it. Love it. All day, every day," she gushed.
She mentioned her favorite highligter from the Vice Cosmetics x Jelly Eugenio's PRETTY SWEET make-up palette.
Naia said, "My favorite highlighter is actually from the Gelly Eugenio Pretty Sweet palette. It's the pink one. I'm not even sure if you're supposed to use it as a highlight.
"I just use it everywhere. I'm like, 'Where else can I put it? I'mma put it everywhere.' I love it so much.
This makeup palette is currently sold out on Shopee and Lazada, but is priced at PHP 995.

And last but definitely not the least, Naia said she never would leave the house without her contact lenses.
She explained, "I need my lenses. I need my lenses! Because how can you see me? I cannot see. I need my lenses. And they're pink. And they're so cute."
