Kristine Hermosa elicits nostalgia among her followers as she reminisces on Instagram with a throwback photo attached about the iconic beauty trends of that era.
She writes in her post dated July 8, 2024, "Mga batang 90s! Remember the days of thin brows and lip liners?
"Who would’ve thought that it will be back again in 2024? [heart eyes emoji]."

The attached snap shot shows Kristine up close and radiating youthful charm.
Her face is barely smudged with make-up and her straight, medium-length black hair is accessorized by a mere headband, a classic item in the '90s fashion scene.
The celebrity mom continues to share that while fads have come and gone since that decade, she has maintained her beauty, thanks to a reliable skin-care routine.
She relates, "Since then, marami nang nauso pero para sakin, I’ve always had the same alaga to make my skin always fresh and healthy-looking. [smiling face emoji]"
She mentions the Y2K aesthetic that has been making a comeback, especially with TikTok trends prompting today's teens to replicate such bold, retro-futuristic looks.
It continues to influence contemporary fashion and make-up styles, as evident in Gen Z's preference for low rise jeans, graphic shirts with lots of logos, truck driver hats, frosted lips, glossy lids, and skinny brows.
KRISTINE'S BEAUTY SECRET
Recall that just before Valentine's Day in 2023, Kristine revealed her beauty secrets to her followers.
She talked about it through an Instagram reel, while relating to viewers how she would pamper herself especially when going on a date with her husband, Oyo Boy Sotto.
"Wow! Parang high school. Kaya ito, kailangan natin magpaganda," she chuckled.
"I just wanna share with you also, when you age, ang dami mo nang nararamdaman, especially pag ang dami mong anak like me."
The 40-year-old actress continued, "So talagang it's a decision na kailangan natin gawin everyday to be healthy, talagang squeeze in yung time to work out and all that.
"Minsan, may konting panghihina ng buto, ang dami mo nang nararamdaman sa joints mo, yung hormones mo nagbabago, ang dami kung anu-ano.
"Kaya kailangan nating labanan yun, guys. Hindi po puwedeng tumanda tayong haggard," she said, smiling.
"As for me, medyo challenging talaga, medyo mahirap, but by God's grace, push."
Incorporated in her daily routine is collagen, an essential supplement that Kristine swears by.
"One of the things that I wanna share with you, ako I take collagen everyday.
"It helps you protect your joints, your bones.
"It helps you with, for you to have good skin, good hair, nails mo," she elaborated, sharing how collagen supplements have become instrumental in maintaining her overall health.
"Medyo weak ang nails ko, kaya talagang kailangan ko iyan. Gut healing. Importante na healthy ang gut natin."

Revealing her preferred brand, Kristine raised a bottle of collagen tablets from SKJN: "If you're just curious what I use for collagen, this is what I use. This one.
"Tablet na siya, na pag nagmamadali ka, you can just take it."
Other than tablets, she added, "Meron din silang Instafizz. So, ito naman yung parang ihahalo mo lang sa water.
"So, very, very convenient talaga para sa akin. Tsaka, shoot mo lang sa bag mo, di ba? So, there."
Before ending her post, she reminded fellow moms and wives: "Don't forget, always look good and feel good for your husbands.
"Kasi hindi natin napapansin, pero nakukuha rin nila yung energy natin."
Aside from collagen, she also visits her dermatologist for a few treatmets as seen on Kamiseta Skin Clinic's page since 2019.
According to one post, Kristine gets K Poreless treatments along with her ultherapy and ultimate hydrafacial sessions.
