Former beauty queen Winwyn Marquez reveals that becoming a mom has changed her understanding of beauty.
For the former Reina HispanoAmericana titleholder, true beauty goes beyond the mere physical appearance.
"Everything is beautiful," Winwyn told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview on September 12, 2024.
The conversation happened at New Lounge's Mini Lash Doll Get Together at Oro Plato restaurant in Taguig City.
She expounded, "I appreciate everything now, every single detail. Kahit sa point na bagong gising ka pa lang, I think mas ma-appreciate ko siya.
"Kasi now that I'm a mom, there's a human being beside you that you made who is really beautiful that appreciates yourself kasi ako yung gumawa nung batang yun.
"So, yun. Every little thing, every small detail, I find beautiful talaga."
Winwyn further mentioned that she now embraces a more optimistic view of beauty.
"More of, yun nga, your attitude, how you change, how you see things, your perception of things. More of that talaga."

WINWYN MARQUEZ's beauty ROUTINE
Aside from her usual regimen for skin care, the celebrity mom has added "rewards" for her self.
"I know not a lot of people don't have that, pero I'm very fortunate na meron ako nun.
So, I do yoga, I do pilates, nagpapa-lashes ako, nagpapa-nails."
"Sometimes, you also have to reward yourself for what you're doing. Because, it's not easy to be a mom. It's really not easy. So, it's okay."
She enjoys making quick visits to the lash salon.
When asked about her favorite lash combination, she cheerfully responded, "C-Curl, 10-11. Hindi masyadong ano [pakak], pa-sweet lang.
"Kasi minsan, siyempre when you do drama also, dapat natural lashes lang, di ba? Hindi masyadong pakak."
WHAT IS C-CURL TYPE OF LASHES?
Just for s backgrounder on the topic, there are different types of curls depending on the shape of your eyes, thickness and length of your lashes, including the angle.
C curl is for those with a slight curl in their natural lash, and aims to create an open eye effect.

Winwyn, for her part, said, "...I think yun yung pinaka-okay sakin since I also have big eyes. Hindi naman kailangan masyadong prominent naman talaga."

New Lounge lashes, for instance, range from 0.05 millimeters to 0.07 millimeters in thickness and from 6 millimeters to 15 millimeters in length.
Winwyn revealed her preference, "Minsan 9-10 [millimeter] pa nga, e, so mas shorter. Pero mas gusto ko yung medyo makapal nang konti."
HOW MUCH ARE THE LASHES?
New Lounge's lash services cost PHP2,500, PHP3,500, and PHP6,500 at Regular Lounge branches; PHP4500 to PHP6,500 at Prestige Lounge branches.
Actual price varies depending on the type of curls.
The salon also boasts of "semi-permanent high-grade premium" lashes, which are as soft as natural hair.

She expressed, "Masyado nang gamit na gamit, pero yung authenticity ko, like what you see is what you get.
"Makikita mo na, this is the real Winwyn. So, pag nakikita mo, sincere lagi."
