Heart Evangelista has openly shared that, like many of us, she has her own beauty concerns.
During the Ulthera Prime launch on April 4, 2025, at Whitespace Events Place in Makati City, the Kapuso star candidly talked about the lines on her neck.
Heart said, "My nefertiti lines. That's what they call it. So when you work out too much and you do abs, kapag wala ka, yung deep nito dito, it's like a band, it's a muscle.
"Nagiging strong siya. So, hindi puwede masyado mag-work out kasi lalabas ang Nefertiti lines. At yung mga ugat sa [noo], mapa-pump, paano na?”
For those unfamiliar, "Nefertiti lines"—often referred to as "turkey neck"—can reveal signs of aging even more noticeably than facial skin.
As we age, these neck lines and visible platysmal bands develop due to the natural contraction and weakening of the neck muscles.
HEART EVANGELISTA SEEKS AN EXPERT'S HELP
Heart has been taking proactive steps to address her beauty concerns at Dr. Aivee Teo's clinic.
And that's also her advice: don’t let the idea of consulting an expert intimidate you.
"Do not be. We are given so many equipment.
"There are so many things that are booming in science to help you out with your skin, with treatments. Just consult.
"Do not be intimidated by clinics, by doctors."
She also assured that the treatments are painless and come with no downtime.
"Hindi naman ibig sabihin kailangan ay hihiga at bubuksan na iyan. Meron naman yung mga non-invasive.
"There's so many things that you can work on."
Before taking that initial step, Heart stressed the importance of researching about the clinic and treatments, then get the best recommendations from the doctor.
Heart expounded, "You can't just go to the clinic and... and then, you do everything.
"You have to have a relationship with the doctor. I mean, it's all about trust.
"I've experienced so many things when I was trigger happy and it did not do me well.
"So, you really kinda have to work with what's already there.
"You don't wanna go to a doctor and then para kang na-reincarnate. Hindi mo na rin makilala sarili mo, baka mas ma-stress ka.
"So really just slowly but surely. And get to know the clinic and the doctor."
HEART EVANGELISTA: IN HER PRIME
At 40, Heart feels she is in her prime.
When asked about her approach to aging, she said it’s nothing to be afraid of.
"So, at this day and age, you don't have to be afraid of aging.
"And again, experience makes you more beautiful."
When asked about the beauty of this stage in her life, she answered: "I think, it still goes back with life lessons, experiences, the acceptance of you're not always going to be the best and most beautiful.
"But, again, it's about the charm of a person.
"And that has a lot to do with attitude, experience, wisdom, and, still, your heart."
