Actor Christian Bables is feeling a wave of pride and excitement as he officially dives into the world of beauty and skincare with the launch of his first-ever entrepreneurial venture, WildSkyn.
The award-winning actor’s latest milestone was unveiled on October 8, 2025, during a grand launch event in Marikina City, marking his evolution from acclaimed performer to CEO and brand founder.
Brimming with relief and joy, Christian shared with the press — including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) — how fulfilling it felt to finally launch a brand that had been four years in the making.
"Ganito pala yung feeling nang nanganganak, ganito palang pakiramdam, di ba?" Christian quipped.
He continued, "Kidding aside, ang sarap sa pakiramdam kasi this is four years in the making. And finally, I felt like it was ready to present WildSkyn to the public."
CHRISTIAN BABLES: BIRTH OF WILDSKYN
Christian also shared the surprising, deeply personal inspiration behind the brand's creation: his own insecurity about his skin.
Having endured criticism and bashing over his looks, he shared how his struggles to find products that truly addressed his skin concerns ultimately sparked the idea for WildSkyn.
He said: "Ako din ay may sariling skin struggles. So, ang tagal ko nang gustong masolusyunan, e, wala akong mahanap.
"Kung meron man, wala yung result na gusto kong makita. So I made WildSkyn."
This personal journey is the reason why he considers his pioneer skincare line as a gift to himself.
He continued: "This is actually a gift for myself. I'm in an industry where perfection is a must.
"And sadly, I'm not perfect. I'm far from being perfect. And, it took me a very long time to finally accept that.
"So, finally, nung na-accept ko na siya... ako mismo naghanap ako ng solusyon doon sa problems ko."
The actor hopes to share this gift with others, seeing the brand as a way to help those who struggle with the same skin concerns he once faced.
He said: "I wanted to see confident people kasi alam kong hindi lang ako yung may pinagdaanan. Marami ang may pinagdaanan nung pinagdaanan ko.
"And ang hirap nang wala kang confidence nang humaharap ka sa mga tao. It feels like it's eating you alive.
"So, yeah, I'm just so glad na matutulungan nito yung mga tao na may pinagdaanan na kagaya ko."
Christian also shared the inspiration behind the brand's unique name.
When asked by PEP.ph why he chose WildSkyn, the actor explained, "Because confidence and healing doesn't always come pretty. Sometimes, or most of the time, it comes wild. So WildSkyn."
He also shared a fun bit of trivia about how the brand got its name: "And trivia, I came up with WildSkyn while I was eating at Wildflour."
Christian's WildSkyn launch features a curated initial collection built around multi-functioning products.
The brand launched with four key items that were developed and manufactured in Thailand and Korea, specifically designed to multi-task and deliver more than basic cleansing or hydrating benefits.
The lineup includes the Radiance Beast lathering bar, the Night Clash Overnight Glow Serum, the Sun Siege Morning Glow Serum with SPF, and the Mad Mousse Glow Whipping Cleanser.
For Christian, the streamlined lineup perfectly suits his fast-paced lifestyle as a celebrity — and anyone who prefers a simple, no-fuss skincare routine.
"Eto yung four products na kailangan ko. So, I thought, marami rin ang nangangailangan nito.
"A facial cleanser na andun lahat ng actives. So, hindi ka magiging oily the whole day.
"Habang naghihilamos ka, yung benefits nung mga serums na usually binibili mo isa-isa, andun na.
"And then, meron tayong morning serum na mayroon nang SPF. And then evening serum na kumpleto na lahat. So, basically all of our products are all-in-one.
"So, lahat ng mga serums na niacinamide, tranexamic acid, alpha-arbutin, isa-isang binibili iyan e. So eto, infused na sa lahat."
CHRISTIAN BABLES: GETTING IN THE BUSINESS
Stepping into his first business venture, Christian admitted that developing WildSkyn felt like going back to school, as he had to learn how to navigate an entirely new industry.
He said, "Ang expertise ko pag-arte. Pagluha sa kaliwa't kanang mata... mga mata ko. Wala akong experience pagdating sa pagbi-business."
Despite the steep learning curve, he expressed gratitude for the supportive team he had behind him.
"Good thing yung aking management, si Mac [Merla], gina-guide din talaga ako. Well, of course, my parents, my mom, malaking tulong din talaga."
When asked about the most significant challenge, he pointed to his own lack of background knowledge.
"Biggest challenge yung wala akong idea at first sa kung ano ang gagawin ko. Basta alam ko gusto ko siyang gawin.
"And then, sometime, somewhere, nag-open ng mga doors for me. Unti-unti ko siyang natutunan, nalaman.
"And then, yeah, kagaya nung pagiging actor, kundi ko naman inisip na magiging ganito ako before, e, dahil wala naman akong kakilala sa showbiz.
"And somehow God opened doors of opportunities for me."
Aware of the time and dedication the project required, Christian made the pivotal decision to slow down his showbiz career—taking on only select projects so he could fully focus on developing his skincare line.
Now that WildSkyn has officially launched, the actor shared that he’s ready to step back into the showbiz spotlight, this time with renewed confidence and purpose.
"Nag-nag-focus ako talaga sa pag-build ng brand. And I know nag-usap kami nung manager ko na, ah, hindi ako makaka-focus kapag tumanggap ako ng project.
"So finally, ngayon, feeling kong makakabalik na," said Christian.
