Gen Z It Girl Rocio Zobel disclosed that like many, she had her share of beauty insecurities, specifically persistent acne and scarring.

Rocio got candid about this personal skin struggle in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last October 20, 2025, during the event marking her appointment as the face of Belo Neurocosmetics.
ROCIO ZOBEL'S SKIN PROBLEM: ACNE
Describing the major skin issues she dealt with last year, the 23-year-old stylist revealed that a gut infection was identified as a one of the main culprits behind her persistent breakouts.
"I had a gut infection, actually, which is what caused the acne," she shared with PEP.
To address her complex skin problems, Rocio consulted Dr. Vicki Belo, who successfully helped her determine the underlying source of the issue.
"Well, she was explaining it's [my acne], like, is caused by stress and you can also get it from the gut.
"So, I had this infection in my gut which caused a really big breakout in both sides of my face, on my cheeks."
Before consulting an expert, Rocio had attempted to resolve her skin concerns on her own, but none of her self-treatments proved effective.
"I tried so many different things after to take away the scarring, to stop my acne from coming up again after, and nothing worked."
Following the consultation, Dra. Belo recommended the Belo Neuroglow Facial, a neurocosmetic treatment that proved effective in improving her skin quality.
"This is the only thing that I think has actually changed the scars on my face," Rocio said.
The brand's website details the treatment's formulation: a blend of ExoComplex®, Quora Noni™, and Vitamin B12, which reportedly work "to clear, calm, and strengthen the skin barrier for visibly balanced and radiant skin."
For those wondering, the suggested number of treatments is typically four to six sessions, performed every two to four weeks.
The exact frequency and total count depend on the individual's skin condition and the dermatologist's recommendation.
The price for this treatment starts at PHP 12,990 per session.
Did she have to prepare anything before doing the treatment?
Rocio shared, "Nothing, nothing. It was like going into it blind. I actually always go to Belo not knowing what I'm gonna do.
"I trust them so much. I'm like, 'Do whatever you think I need.' And that's what I've been doing recently and it's really been showing amazing results."
Rocio also supplements her treatment with the Belo ADVALight, aimed at acne scarring, and the Virtue RF treatment, which is designed to address skin laxity, fine lines, acne scarring, and texture concerns.
When does she usually do these treatments?
Rocio told PEP: "It's super spontaneous.... I don't have like a set routine. It's whenever my skin needs it or if it needs specific things at that time, so whatever what's happening."
Lastly, Rocio underlined the importance of religiously maintaining a consistent routine that works on your skin.
She noted that her own routine is a minimalist one, which her dermatologist suggested specifically because of her sensitive skin.
"At home it's super simple honestly," she revealed.
"I don't really think that my skin goes well with so many products. So I'm just like, a cleanser and then depending on what they [dermatologists] tell me I need for my skin at that point.
"Sometimes, I do like some moisturizer. Sometimes, there's a toner. So, it just depends on what I need but it's super simple.
"And all my products I actually get from them...but the brand is so skin-friendly."
