Priscilla Meirelles recently shared her thoughts on Botox, acknowledging that not everyone is a fan of the popular cosmetic procedure.

The former beauty queen revealed that she personally understands the hesitation—because she once had a negative experience.

"I was victim of a bad Botox in my 30s," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview on Monday, January 12, 2026.

She shared the story during the grand opening of Belo Clinic’s newly renovated branch in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

According to Priscilla, she initially didn’t want to try Botox, but agreed after being persuaded by an aesthetic clinic she was endorsing at the time.

"I didn’t want to do the Botox, but I was endorsing another clinic and they decided it would be a good idea.

"I went along because I wanted them to be happy.

"And it was a terrifying experience because my eyebrows raised all the way up."

Priscilla described the aftermath as unsettling: "I had that mataray face. I couldn’t stop massaging every second to try to wear the Botox off.

"So that’s why I know where most people are coming from."

While the experience left her wary, Priscilla admitted that she gave Botox another try when she entered her 40s.

Unfortunately, that attempt also fell short of her expectations.

"I had my second Botox already on my 40s, which is just, you know, a couple of years ago and it was not also the best.

"It was okay, but it also... I felt that I lost a lot of my, you know, like my facial expressions in the sense that suddenly I don't know myself."

Despite those setbacks, Priscilla decided to give Botox a third chance—this time under the care of renowned dermatologist Dra. Vicki Belo.

The result? A completely different experience.

Priscilla said, "Dr. Vicki Belo, she was the one that injected my Botox and now I love Botox."

She continued: "I love Dr. Vicki Belo's Botox. She's the best. Her hands are so light and the Botox just go to the perfect place, you don't have a frozen face.

"It looks like, you know, you don't have Botox at all. Very natural.

"I just love the whole approach of Belo of looking your best in the most natural possible."

PRISCILLA MEIRELLES's BEAUTY ADVICE

After everything she went through, Priscilla said the most important advice she can give when getting Botox is to make sure you find the best—and most qualified—doctor.

"My advice to everyone when it comes to Botox is, number one, you really need to make sure that the doctor that's handling, you know, you, is the best in the business that they're doing.

"And Dr. Vicki Belo, she has, you know, secrets about where to put the Botox... She has her own signature Botox places, you know, marks. Very famous for that.

"So there is no way of going wrong when you come to Belo because Dr. Vicki Belo is ahead of all of them.

"And then she's the one that is pioneer in the Philippines when it comes to beauty and beauty standards and looking your best and your natural.

"So I don't think you can go wrong when you come to Belo."

She added that it’s equally important to ensure the Botox being used is of the highest quality.

"Of course, you need to make sure that the kind of product they're using, you know, it's safe and it's the best quality available in the market."

PRISCILLA MEIRELLES: BEAUTY MANTRA FOR 2026

Priscilla’s preference for a "natural" look also reflects her overall mantra for 2026, especially as she embraces her 40s.

"My beauty mantra for 2026 would be, I want to look as much as possible, you know, as young as I can, but still do not lose my identity in the sense that yes, I'm a woman in my 40s but I want to live life like, you know, the energy that I feel that in my 30s.

"And, having Belo to back me up and to, you know, to give me the confidence to adventure in anything that I want and I believe that I can still do."

Priscilla is also open to trying new things and reigniting her career in the local showbiz scene.

She said: "...To actually recognize my career and, you know, to try new paths, in the industry.

"So it does give me the confidence and the hope that I can still be very pretty much, you know, there, fighting...among even the youngest ones.

"Because in the end of the day, I think it's not about how old you are, but it's about how young you feel. And I do feel very young."
