Celebrity beauty talks remain one of the highlights of SM Beauty Con, and the 2026 edition was definitely one for the books.
This year’s lineup was packed with fan-favorite stars and well-loved content creators.
Among them was Heart Evangelista, who shared some of her beauty hacks and personal recommendations on the first day of SM Beauty Con 2026, held from March 19 to 22, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.
During her talk for Absidy, Heart opened up about her biggest realizations about beauty and the showbiz industry, emphasizing that personal attitude matters far more than outer looks.
"Being in this industry for 28 years na—naks, ilang dekada na, tatlong dekada na,” she said. “People would always compare you or measure you or just say this and that about you.
"Honestly, it’s not about your looks. It’s not about what you can give—it’s about who you are.
"And parang siyempre sinasabi, 'Ah kasi [ganito]…' But the thing is, whatever you see right now, it’s because of what’s in here," she added, pointing to her heart.
Heart went on to cite Nicole Andersson, host of the segment, as a great example of someone who has stayed in the industry because of her character and professionalism.
"Honestly, sa tao, madaming maganda. Beauty is a dime a dozen—but it’s about, like, look at Nicole.
"She has been in this since she was a little girl. She's been here because she’s hardworking, and there's that je ne sais quoi about her, di ba? Parang napaka-charming niyan. Yun talaga yun.
"And it's about charm. It’s about attitude. It's about personality. Ay naku, kung masama ugali mo, di ka talaga tatagal. Yun talaga."
Heart emphasized that it is always a person’s personality that truly shines.
She also highlighted the importance of self-care and self-love, noting that makeup can be a powerful way to express both.
Asked about wearing makeup, Heart shared that at its core, makeup is about confidence.
Heart explained: "I think confidence, because that's really something that you fake it or sometimes you really... I don't have that every day.
"I don't even have it today so much, to be honest with you. I'm not really at my best, like, mental state of mind.
"But with confidence or when you try to have it, you could really achieve anything.
"I swear to you, I mean, I had moments where I was very confident, dami ko nagawa nung araw na yun.
"And I feel like that's a feeling that is very priceless na sana makuha nila when they do put Absidy on."
HEART EVANGELISTA'S BEAUTY MUST-HAVES
Aside from sharing her insights on showbiz and beauty, Heart also revealed some of her beauty and body care recommendations at the event.

"That’s what I would want to do."
