For Carla Abellana, as an actress who is constantly in the public eye, taking care of herself is a necessity.
From long workdays to public appearances, Carla Abellana believes that self-care helps her breathe, reset, and be at her best both on and off camera.
During the grand opening of AIVEE Clinic Parqal on April 23, 2026, Carla shared in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) why setting aside time for herself has become an important part of her routine.
“For me, it’s important to feel like myself again,” she said.
“It's important because it's part of taking care of myself. So it's not just about, um, looking good or looking better, but it's also about feeling good and feeling better.”
CARLA ABELLANA’S FAVORITE TREATMENTS
For her pamper days, Carla has a list of go-to treatments she swears by.
“It has to be ONDA. ONDA talaga,” she revealed to PEP.
“And with emphasis, Onda. And siguro si Emsculpt. But recently, I tried Exomind, it's for your brain, for your mental health. It's also been good. So those, those three are my favorites.
“And, of course, Ulthera. Four pala sila.”
Among her favorites is the Onda Body Magic, a cool-wave technology treatment that helps contour the body, firm the skin, shape specific areas, and permanently dissolve stubborn fat cells while boosting collagen production.
Each session starts at approximately PHP20,000, with final costs varying based on the treatment plan and target areas.
She also regularly gets Emsculpt, a non-invasive procedure that simultaneously burns fat and builds muscle through intense supramaximal contractions—equivalent to thousands of crunches or squats in a 30-minute session.
Treatments start at around PHP15,000 to PHP 25,000 per session.
More recently, Carla tried the Exomind, a non-invasive brain stimulation therapy that uses Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to enhance mental wellness, focus, mood, and sleep, as well as reduce stress. Introductory sessions start at PHP3,500 per hour.
Rounding out her list is AIVEE Ulthera, a non-invasive ultrasound treatment that lifts and tightens the skin on the face, neck, and other areas by stimulating deep collagen production. It starts at around PHP75,000 for Maxx Lift and PHP100,000 and up for Prime.
CARLA ABELLANA: AGING GRACEFULLY
Aside from her current favorites, Carla said she’s excited to explore more of the clinic’s latest offerings.
“I don't know the exact names of the treatments, but they have… more than three new treatments that I would like to try. So hopefully, hopefully ma-try po yung mga iyon, especially yung sa face, yung Rejuran and all that. So yeah, definitely for facial lasers.”
Is she open to trying injectables?
Carla said yes to the idea, acknowledging that aging is a natural part of life.
“Yes, definitely, because we are aging. Definitely open to injectables naman like Botox. Number one ang AIVEE Clinic sa Botox. So, the best iyan.
“And siguro, something for the lips. Why not? I'm open to that also. So yeah, something like that. Just Botox and siguro fillers.”
However, the actress clarified that going under the knife is not something she plans to do anytime soon.
“Siguro surgery muna. Takot ako sa surgery.
“I don't know, kung anong ipapagawa ko sa face ko or sa body ko at least surgically. But siguro yun muna yung… not trying muna anytime soon.”
Ultimately, Carla said her beauty philosophy—especially when it comes to aging—is all about balance and knowing when to stop.
“We all age. There's not a problem with that. It's just a matter of taking care of yourself and not overdoing it.
“You can age gracefully naman. It shows naman if you take care of yourself. Basta don't overdo it.”
