For Toni, one of the most important factors when buying beauty products is affordability—especially amid rising costs of essentials these days.

"Definitely, the price point because mahal ang mga bilhin ngayon!” she told PEP at the grand launch of Cathy Doll’s 10th anniversary pop-up at SM Mall of Asia on May 14, 2026.

This is also why she chooses products that strike a balance between affordability and proven effectiveness.

She continued, "And really, I'm so happy to say and proud to say that Cathy Doll products are effective, but they're also actually pretty affordable for what they offer."

Beyond price, Toni emphasized that while having multiple variants is a plus, it shouldn’t pressure consumers into purchasing everything.

"So the price point and also the variation. So there really is a variety for everyone. You don't need to have everything, that's for sure.

"So swatch what you can or, of course, i-trial niyo muna sa skin niyo and see what fits you best. Di ba? So there."

Instead of giving in to the urge to collect every product, Toni encourages a more intentional approach—testing items first and narrowing down choices based on what truly suits your skin.

Noting that skincare should revolve around individual needs rather than trends or hype, she underscored that personalization is key to having the right products.

"That is one thing also that I wanna say. Hindi mo kailangan lahat.

"So if feeling mo, 'Okay. This tone-up is for me,' or, 'Okay, this PDRN variant is for me,' then just stick to that.

"Stick to ingredients you love, for example, niacinamide or hyaluronic acid, and then go from there."

With her advice, Toni highlights a more mindful way of consuming beauty products—one that prioritizes effectiveness, budget, and personal compatibility over excess.
