For Kim Chiu, good hair isn’t just part of the look—it’s the foundation of her confidence.
The actress shared how much her hair matters to her as she renewed her endorsement with Hairfix during a press event on May 28, 2026, held after the brand’s pop-up launch at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
Kim shared: "Alam iyan ng mga hairstylist ko talaga na metikuloso talaga ako sa hair, kasi isa sa pinanggagalingan ng confidence ko is yung hair ko talaga.
"So pag bad hair day ako, medyo bad mood din talaga ako na hindi ko talaga gusto yung hair.
"Parang kasama siya sa outfit ko. Parang isa siyang crowning glory kung saan kinukuha yung confidence ko."
For Kim, having good hair goes beyond aesthetics; it helps set her mood for the day.
"Kasi pag maganda yung hair mo, feeling mo maganda ka talaga, e, di ba?
"Parang doon nagsa-start yung ano mo, mood. It sets the mood kung maganda yung hair, maganda yung pagkakabanat mo kung ponytail ka, maganda yung pagkaka-volume, maganda ang curl or straight, lahat talaga."
She added that hair plays a role in how people express themselves and even connect with others.
"Mostly, yung mga tao, babae man o lalaki, kinukuha nila confidence sa hair.
"Kasi, di ba, hair matters talaga, lalo na pag nagpa-short hair yung mga medyo may edad na, 'Uy, ang bata mo,' di ba?
"Or parang long hair, curly hair, 'Wow, gorgeous!' Or short hair, pixie, 'Wow, so sassy.'
"Parang start siya ng topic and conversation, yung hair—hair color, hair treatment, lahat talaga.
"Parang it's part of your daily routine na magkaroon ng magandang hair."
KIM CHIU'S HAIRCARE MUST-HAVES
True to her meticulous nature, Kim also shared some of her haircare must-haves—and she’s not one to gatekeep.
One of her current favorites is the Professional ScalpXpert Hair Serum Cooling Menthol (70ml), which helps address dandruff while providing a cooling effect—especially helpful when constantly styling her hair with heat tools.
She said, "Ito naman, para sa scalp treatment kasi siyempre blow dry and everything. Sa heat, mainit na yung panahon, mainit pa yung-blow dry, curling iron, straightener.
"So this one for scalpt treatment and hair serum."

"Maganda talaga to for straight hair kasi hindi siya nagkaka-static, and nakaka-shiny siya. Meron pa siyang treatment na keratin."

"Maganda din 'to kasi walang aerosol. So it's very nice. kahit ilagay mo sa kamay or ilagay mo sa ganyan [spray]. Super effective, super strong hold spray net at its finest."
