With Liza Soberano's beauty, who needs any frills?
One proof is her cover for Cosmopolitan Philippines' July issue, where she was clad in a little black dress and a cord necklace as her only accessory.
But the 18-year-old actress doesn't really fret too much about how she looks even if a couple of "Most Beautiful" lists here and abroad have taken notice of her mesmerizing beauty.
She told Cosmo, "When people say I'm pretty, I always wonder if I'm pretty lang.
"I don't like that feeling."
That's because she is made of sterner stuff, and she values hard work and professionalism.
Once, she risked her health to keep the flow going on set.
She got hospitalized for five days due to pneumonia brought about by overfatigue during her taping days for her first hit teleserye Forevermore.
The taping was physically draining as the team had to travel from Baguio to Manila and vice versa.
The travel, the weather, and the work hours must have taken their toll on Liza, who collapsed on the set.
But the following day, she showed up at her commercial shoot.
With only three hours of sleep, the Kapamilya actress was rushed to the cilinic.
Since then, her work hours had been adjusted.
In an industry where beauty can be one's golden ticket and saving grace, Liza has been working hard for people to look beyond that: She's talented, dedicated, and kindhearted, too.
