Both Janeena Chan and RB Chanco agreed that getting enough amount of sleep and having a proper diet do a lot of wonders to the skin.

Janeena Chan, a fashion blogger, and RB Chanco, a make-up artist to Kapamilya stars, both believe that sleep and diet play a role in keeping our skin healthy.

Skin experts say we all need seven to nine hours of sleep because that's when our body repairs itself and recovers.

The food we eat can add glow to our complexion, and even help delay skin aging.

At the recent media event of Kojie San’s lightening products in La Creperie, Salcedo St., Makati , Janeena told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "It really reflects talaga whatever you eat and whatever you take in to your body.

"And especially when you don’t get enough sleep, you’ll look very tired and sleepy and haggard the next day."

Since her job requires her to use makeup most of the time, she talked about her routine before and after applying makeup.

1. "I don't apply makeup directly."

She said, “Before I put on my makeup, there are certain products I use as a base.

"CC creams are very good."

Known as the "Color Corrector," it's a tinted moisturizer that evens out the skin tone, and has SPF.

Janeena resumed, "There are certain moisturizing sprays that are also good for setting the skin before you apply your makeup on, so I make sure I don’t apply makeup directly.

"Dapat may base muna for skin care before applying makeup."

2. Use "cleanser remover."

Some lipsticks and mascaras have ingredients that can't be removed just by using soap and water.

Janeena pointed out, "I make sure that my skin is clean."

She also dished out another interesting tip: “I also heard that you have to put on your makeup remover first before applying makeup to your face, because it really helps in removing excess dirt on your face and would look much more beautiful and it’s healthier.”

3. Make "cleanser and toner” part of your regimen.

At present, she's crazy about L'Oreal Paris, Nuxe, and Pixi's rose-scented products.

Meanwhile, RB Chanco, makeup artist of Kim Chiu, Anne Curtis, Jodi Sta. Maria, to name a few, stressed the importance of having flawless and fair skin.

"The makeup enhances, but the skin glows because of what it is like without the makeup."

RB can't live without "facial wipes," and raved about the natural ingredients and whitening wonders of Kojie San.

The beauty expert exclaimed during the event, "I use my products twice a day."
