The grand coronation night of Miss World 2016 will be happening in Washington, D.C.
But did you know that the local franchise of this internationally acclaimed beauty pageant is only six years old?
Miss World Philippines (MWP) was launched on January 25, 2011, and premiered on March 23, 2011, at the SMDC Showroom, SM Mall of Asia.
Since then, it has produced six queens who have been promoting "Beauty with a Purpose."
But aside from the title, the six beauties have another thing in common: they are all Filipinas with foreign blood.
Gwendoline Gaelle Ruais
The 2011 Miss World First Princess was born to a Filipina mom and French dad.
Beauty runs in the family as her sister Gwennaelle Ruais finished third in Miss Philippines Earth 2010.
After her reign, she pursued hosting, modeling, and acting.
Her latest feat: placing 11th in the fourth cycle of Asia's Next Top Model.
Queenie Rehman represented our country at the Miss World 2012 pageant in Ordos, China.
The Pakistani-Filipina lass showcased her talent in beat boxing during the pageant.
During her MWP stint, she bagged seven out of 17 special awards, including Miss Pantene, Miss AMA Beauty and Brains, Miss Photogenic, Miss Talent, Miss Philippines Prudential, and Miss World Traveler.
To date, Filipina-American actress Megan Young is the first and only Filipina who won the Miss World title.
In 2013, she represented the country in Bali, Indonesia.
She grew up in Olongapo, Zambales, was a StarStruck alumna, and is now one of GMA-7's top leading ladies.
Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weighmann is half-Filipina/half-German.

She used to be the "love team" of Ejay Falcon during their stay inside Kuya's house.

Miss World Philippines 2015 Hillarie Parungao is Filipino-Chinese.
The 5"6' lady hails from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
Prior to winning MWP, she represented the country in Miss Asia Pacific World 2014.
She manages a socio-civic organization called KATUWANG: Fight Against Child Mortality.
Lastly, this year's representative is Catriona Gray, a 5'11" beauty from Albay.
She was born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
According to her Miss World bio, "she made the decision to move to Manila, Philippines, right after she finished her secondary education."
The lady has a Master's Certificate in Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
She also plays the guitar and has a black belt in Choi Kwang Do.
