Angelica Panganiban, Maricar Reyes, and Anne Curtis were among the stars who made a beautiful overhaul in their hairdo.

The year saw the transformation of our favorite stars, beginning with their hair.

Some opted to go blonde, others turned redhead, a few cropped their long hair.

Here are the six stars who astounded us in 2016 with their new looks.

Jodi Sta. Maria originally had soft curls and shoulder-length hair.

When her character Amor Powers in Pangako Sa 'Yo called for a quick-change of her schoolmarmy look, Jodi had her hair nipped up to her nape.

She resurfaced in a highly charged scene as a drastically changed woman donning a pixie hair, thanks to Alex Carbonell of Studio Fix.

Alex used monochromatic blonde tones for the color.

Later, in summer, the celebrity hairstylist again worked on Jodi's look.

Alex bobbed her hair in soft layers and transformed the 33-year-old mom into "bronde," a fusion of blonde and brunette using three different light tones: lightest gold plus lightest ash on medium ash, "with level 10 base color."

However, Jodi was last seen in silver ash blonde 'do.

Angelica Panganiban had always worn her signature long hairdo.

But like Jodi, Angelica had her hair bobbed in 2016 for her role as Claudia in Pangako Sa 'Yo.

She debuted her new look in the show's much-anticipated wedding scene.

The actress also re-posted side-by-side photos created by a fan comparing her new ‘do with the hairstyle of the Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence.

Celebrity mom Isabel Oli had always been known for her long straight locks until recently.

Just this November, she became a member of the "short hair, don't care" club.

In September 2015, she started sporting an above-the-shoulder bob, but dared not go all the way.

Another beauty shorn of her long hair is Anne Curtis, who did it according to "director's orders."

Now sporting her shortest haircut yet, the Kapamilya actress trimmed her hair for director Erik Matti's upcoming movie, Buy Bust.

She even posted a video when her beautiful long locks were snipped into a gorgeous bob.

The now-engaged star wrote, "Snip Snip for my new role in #BuyBust."

And looking 10 years younger in her new hairdo is Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

She bid goodbye to her long hair last September for a breezy with short brown hair.

Three months later, she cut her hair even shorter for an out-and-out "modern punk" look, as described by her hair stylist Jude Hipolito of Juro Salon Exclusif in Bonifacio Global City.

It recalled her 2008 look when she launched her album Low Key.

Maricar Reyes had always looked lovely in her long hair, and even lovelier in a short clip.

The actress shared the drastic change in her long sleek hair.

Look, our new crush, Maricar in her new hairstyle.

Her husband Richard Poon could not agree more.

If these six celebs don't convince you to chop your hair short, we don't know what will.
