Having a Miss Universe mom certainly has its perks.
When Tim Yap's #TYUniverse party, which is a celebration of his 40th birthday, requested its guest to come in Miss Universe-inspired costumes, Isabelle Daza's concept was a sure winner.
The Kapamilya actress arrived looking the way mom Gloria Diaz looked when Gloria won the prestigious title in 1969.
Kudos to Nantey West for her half updo hair, Anthea Bueno for her "#beautyqueen" makeup, and Liz Uy for helping Belle nail the look, which was completed by the real Miss Universe crown.
On Instagram, she wrote, "When your mom is iconic enough to be a costume..."
She won Best in Costume, and got to pose with her Miss Universe mom (left) and the second Filipina to win the crown in 1973, Margie Moran.
The night's finalists were Miss Spain Lovi Poe, who came with her matador Chris Johnson; Miss Egypt/Cebu Rajo Laurel, whose elaborate costume was a cross between the "sun god" and "Pit Señor" and Miss Thailand Cristalle Belo-Pitt in a Tuktuk-inspired dress similar to Miss Universe Thailand's winning costume in 2015.
The star-studded party was held on January 19 (two days after Tim's actual birthday), in Manila House, Bonifacio Global City.
