Being a mom is definitely a tough job—be it for stay-at-home moms or the working kind.

Juggling time for themselves and for their families is probably the hardest part of motherhood.

Most moms believe that they should devote all their time for their family, and sacrifice most of their own needs and wants.

Because of this, they tend to neglect themselves, and this usually takes its toll on their health, their moods, and most especially their looks. 

When this happens, they won't be able to carry on with their duties as wives and as devoted mothers to their kids.

That's why they also need to have some "me time" to enable them to recover from the rigors of their daily lives.

Here are some celebrity-approved anti-losyang tips for moms:

1. Living an active and healthy lifestyle.

Celebrity mom Camille Prats makes sure she lives an active and healthy lifestyle.

"Importante alagaan natin yung katawan natin not only to look good but to feel good," she explained during an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last Wednesday, May 17, at Cetaphil's 70th anniversary party at Shangri-la Hotel in Makati City.

"Kasi iba rin yung malakas ka, you're strong as a woman, kasi nga nagwu-workout ka. 

"Hindi yung parang konting galaw lang, pagod na pagod ka na."

She also added, "Siyempre the little things, like put on a little make-up, fix your hair, dress up nicely.

"Kasi those are the little things na maa-appreciate ng mga asawa natin, na hindi natin pinapabayaan yung sarili natin."


2. Don't feel guilty about indulging in some ''me time'' or splurging on yourself every once in a while.

The only thing moms need to keep in mind is to spend some time for themselves and not feel guilty about it.

Model-host Phoemela Baranda also believes that it's not bad to treat yourself to a day at the salon or a spa, or even a shopping spree.

She relates, "Always look your best because you only have one body, one face, so you have to take care of yourself and always look your best."


3. Stay POSITIVE.

Negativity adds a lot of weight to a mom's daily stress, and one of the ways to prevent this is to accentuate the positive things in every situation.

Isabel Oli explained, "In any way, parang you just have to see mga positive things lang siguro.

"Kung pag nakikita mo palaging nega na lang, try to see something positive na lang siguro para light lang yung mood mo, so magiging light [feeling] na lang sa lahat."


4. Get yourself updated with the latest trends with your kids.

Celebrity mom Ruffa Gutierrez bonds with her daughters, Lorin and Venice, to keep her updated with the latest trends.

This not just helps her keep up with her kids, but also makes her feel young.

"They should hang out with the millennials," Ruffa told PEP during an interview last May 3 at Tresseme Runway Ready fashion show at One Events Place, Makati City.

"Buti na lang I have kids that are part of this generation and I hang out with them to get the latest trends.

"Even though I don't know who these bagets artistas are, or the songs or the trends, they know and they keep me informed."
