Lola Love is known in her hometown for her "gandang kutis." At 81, she has a smooth skin and a few wrinkles.

How do you defy the signs of aging?

This 81-year-old grandma from Pampanga has been doing it effortlessly with so easy to do and low-maintenance beauty routine.

Meet Clarita Laxa-Coronel, aka Lola Love.

Lola Love is known in her hometown for her "gandang kutis" skin, and the former public health midwife credits it to her being a kikay lady.

She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview held at her home in Floridablanca, Pampanga, “Ano raw ang sikreto ko?

"Ayun, sikreto ko, ever since naman dalaga ako, maganda nang kutis ko kasi health and beauty-conscious ako.

“Matutulog lang ako, magli-lipstick pa! Mag-aayos pa.

“Maski nasa bahay lang ako magtatrabaho, mag-aayos.”

She named these three products as her beauty essentials: Baby powder, anti-aging cream, and baby oil.

“Ngayong tumanda ako, yung Pond’s Age Miracle.

Another important factor that the mother of three and grandmother of seven underlined was her daily food intake.

How about carbs?

Lola Love gets her daily dose of fruit from freshly-picked fruit juices and shakes.

And, before going to bed, she drinks a hot glass of milk.

“Any kind of milk, bago matulog.

“Parang bata noh?”

But Lola Love’s easiest beauty tip was simply “to smile.”

She said, “Smile and be happy! Wala naman mawawala sa ’yo.”

For someone who had gone through life than most of us, she remarked that problems are meant to be solved and that money shouldn’t take over our lives.

Puwera dun, lagi kayo magpasalamat. Huwag lagi kayo hihingi.

“Always be happy, and huwag laging binabanggit yung pera!”
